forget it, I'm not gonna get involved, Raven hasn't attacked me, and no one else has either, so I'm not gonna bother, as its really none of my business, of course I seee evidence of Raven 'attacking' but meh, I'm gonna back away anyway, my views are gonna stay in me on this

Quote: "im not sure i remember the community attacking any of your friends/co workers perhaps they were poking fun at one of your supposed projects that magically dissapeared? but i hardly doubt we would attack someone just for working with you."

Then either you have a poor or selective memory; or you just don't pay attention. I don't care for people poking fun at what I or my friends have done.

I don't sit around going in to threads making fun of others. The example you've used above I'm not making fun of him... I truely do think he's an idiot. Especially in that thread.

There are a number of other times where once again I've called people idiots, they've spouted off insulting my inteligence.. just to get a few post later that in actual fact I was right and so was my first response.

Not that I ever actually hear an apology. Neither is the thread written in a way to out-right say this. They simply claim they fixed/figured out the issue on thier own and repeat almost exactly what I posted up to begin with.

As for my projects, as I have said before and will no doubt say 1000x again. I do my projects for one person. ME. If I complete it fine, if not tough. My project, I get to decide what I do.

If people are fed up of not seeing anything WHY even look at the post? Further more why then post in that thread? Further more why post up some pot-shot?

They could just as easily go off and do something else and possible more constructive. But no they'd rather just post an insult.
If I insult someone with what I think of them atleast I also provide helpful information. And I don't post to be nasty, I post what I think.

As I said go back to that Me! post. How many people in that post ACTUALLY tried to help him? You'll see probably several hundred more examples like that in just the last few months.

You might not like my attitude of how I do things, but after 4 years my patience with being even remotely nice has worn thin. More over I don't have the time to think of some well worded witty banter. I just don't have several hours to think up and trawl through old posts, so you get exactly what I think at that section and the knowledge I can pull from my memory.

If you don't like it tough. Only the person I've replied to has a right to make comments and be upset. Not the entire forum.

well a lotta people stand out when they see something is not right and well try to solve it, its a good part of our crappy human nature.

Anyway, this is gonna turn into a flamer, and I'm sure AZP doesn't want to click on 'my threads' and see 'flamebait' so lets ignore our differances here and well say stuff when its necessary, I won't say my view, because people will only take it the wrong way, get offended and flame...Sooooo leave this thread to die, as we have seen Raven's model and come to a conclusion on this thread, off topic crap is unecessary

wow aaron thats not very nice.

You gotta look past AZP being your best friend or what ever and appreciate people who arent him. instead of thinking hes the sh*t just because hes your friend. My friend posted here before an AK 47 that wasnt that good but I didnt say anything but I didnt hail him as the best.

make a list of all the modelers, ask them to give you a model pic which they are the most proud for making, post them all, critique their work.

fairest way.

Right then, I'll start a modelling compo thread for each month, on a theme, it'll work like the Creative Challenge on 3DW (except there will never will be prizes and then we vote whos is the best, after the voting stage I'll count em all and the woohoo I pick a winner who can choose next months theme

Raven, maybe stop complaining about others (I seem to remember you attacked my choice of model in the last topic I made) and you'll get treated with some respect.

Raven is a very skilled modeller. Way back when he posted stuff, there was another modeller whom everyone liked....but then was later proven to be a fake. Since then I havent seen any of Ravens work, but I know hes very good.

Other skilled modellers Ive worked with include Xeon_Killer, Mac Zen, Jonny Ree (of course) along with many of the newer forum members showcasing their abilities, and legends such as Sir_Manfred.

WTF this topics way off topic and unfortunatly this is what happens when people try to decide who is the best its human nature to disagree so no matter how hard people try to choose one modeller who is the best someone will always disagree. well as for the best modeller i believe there to be many and here is my list.

1.Seppuku(characters) 2.Dark coder(weapons and vehicles) 3.AZP(various) 4.BiggAdd(ability to try his hand at anything and textures) 5.Sspike(verlociraptor. If spelt wrong ma bad) 6.Master Chief(awsome apache)

Obviously there not in order but from it you can see that there isnt one decent modeller there is a variety all good in there perticular field.

disco

mach is a modeller who seems now to lack posts around here, look for one of his threads and you'll see how good he really is,

and don't just give me credit for the compo, BigAdd said it would be nice to have one, no one made one, so I did

it was Simple, im not sure if his tutes are stuff on these boards, but he used to be very admired as a 3dmodeller and texture artist, but it was found out that a few of his 2d drawrings were sketches from a book and he was never heard from again...
