Any program you can use well will create a good level as far as im aware... There may be some limitations though varying from program to program...

Most of all, texturing and UV-mapping is a nightmare in 3DS and other 3D suites compared to how it's usually done in a handy BSP-tool such as UnrealEd or Hammer.

Yeah, That sure was some real useful advice Tinkergirl gave, especially for us new commers.

There is sure a lot of great advice on the forum, which took a lot of time for the orignal users of FPS to learn and post here, so it really is making life easier for us new boys.

Thanks to everyone for their great advice and help.

Haven't had time to read all the info here, but that first page is really good. I knew a lot of what was said, but it is always good to review ideas! I love the funnel thing too. I'm usually not very imaginative about stuff, but I can think of several themes that would work good for...
