Allow me to quote myself:

If you are a company developing a game, you certainly have a detailed design document.

If you want to be taken seriously, you have to treat people seriously. Most of the people that are working hard to be in this market get all their alarms ringing when these sentences are used:
"We are a company."
"We are developing more than one project."
"We are not hiring you, we are giving you the chance to work with us"
"What we are doing is special, you'll see."
"We cannot show anything because."
And other non-formal, non-company like speech. The problem is not the fact that you are not a company. The problem is that you try to look like one and that is not serious.
A company does not need to say it is a company, because it's self explained, they work on one project at a time with some rare exceptions and they hire directly on pre-determined non-hobbyst spots or through some pre-planned website application and they are not doing anything special, they are doing what they know and learning to do better.
Good luck to your projects, I'm looking forward to analyse your design document.

I'm pretty sure I know everything. Doubts are something rare in me and I am never wrong, as this signature can prove.
