"BTW- this is by far the most entertaining thread in this forum."

I agree...

A mod should sticky this and label it "The Begginer's Guide On How NOT To Start A New Thread In The Showcase Section"

project9 admin

i hope you have learned from the comments in this thread

if you pretend to be a company your going to be flamed

i would recommed the following

you drop the company crap because really its against forum rules and not impressive just makes you look stupid

try adding dynamic content eg your own models and own segments
if you have problems with modelling there are plenty of experienced users willing to help

no team requests as it makes you look stupid you might as well ask
Quote: "can some one make a game for me because iam a noob and want to take credit for other peoples work"

and if you gonna showcase makes you post custom screenshots at the same time

and give a brief outline of your game not a 20 page essay of a story line we want to know what your game is about not read a novel

i suggest you rethink you strategy and repost with your own content
even if its just 1 screenshot of 1 level i promise you people in this community will be happy to help you and give you a warmer welcome

i wish you every success

peace out

Thank you all for your comment's (even if they wern't nice) I have learned from my mistake. I will be opening a new thrend on Game Creator Forums under FPSC and will try to fix the mistakes i made here. As for the website im remodoling it so i will fix all the mistakes of long paragraphs. And i have some1 working on putting the scripts of some media so i can then make new stuff on the game like guns and terrains. Please let me know of any suggestions you may have.

Well mate, let me add, that you are part of a very small percentage of people that learnt from that particular mistake and for that you should be congratulated and I'm not being ironic, I mean it.

Whoever takes gamemaking a little bit more seriously (even if not professionaly) sees threads like this at least once per month per forum... more on some forums.

Just be yourself, some will like you, some won't, but at least there's a chance of someone liking you, which rarely happens with the "company" attitude.

Regarding the design document, you have my email address, if you want I can straight that part out for you. Maybe you won't use it, but it's a great learning experience for any game developer.

Welcome aboard.

V

I'm pretty sure I know everything. Doubts are something rare in me and I am never wrong, as this signature can prove.

Yeah, enjoy your stay here, at least you can learn from your mistakes as I have, unlike the ones who pots about their non existant company and then go off in a huff when people ridicule them...as Vlad said, welcome aboard!

Although my opinion will change, the fact that I am right will not.

Hmm, the 3rd screenshot is good, but what the hell program are you using to change your images to jpg... Use paint instead

I think so many people get excited once they test there game for the first time becuase youve skipped a whole years of coding in like seconds lol, ive been codding almost 5 years now and i must say yes its fun to have a game made in seconds but dont forget others like yourself have been excited and seeing the same objects methods, lighting techs is pritty dull, so try and come up with new objects new enviroments. Unique is the keyword im trying to get across. Games must be unique to one another or they just fall into "Forum members dont read or call newbs" catergory. Think of crazy and succesful games as Counterstrike, crash bandicoot, sonic the hedge hog, Splintercell, prince of persia and age of empires. (these are examples not good ones though lol) but they had unique ideas, Splintercell with its stealth, yes its fun to copy a game to some extent then all originalitie goes out the window. Unique games are the best games.....keep that in mind

thanks

Splinter Cell wasn't first sthealth sneaking game!
Metal Gear Solid and many other sneaking games came befor it!
For example, Metal Gear 1 published in 1987! It was an first sneaking game (I think) and therefore it was something unique!

Im planning on re-making not only my game but hopefully after the launch of this game i will be re-making a brand new website for Project Nine allowing for more user and member interactivity and a better look. So look out for that but for the meantime know that i will be remaking a 2 level demo that i think looks like some parts of Call Of Duty. I won't be working on it for a week becuase i am in Texas visiting some friends and family. They recently moved in from Chicago so they dont have that southern accent or live on a farm lol (Thank GOD!!!)

@project9 admin. This should really be in the FPSC Chat section, and what do you mean FPS Shooter? FPS Shooter means First Person Shooter Shooter. Sorry, but-what the hell?!?!?!
