thanks, this is precisely the kind of feedback i want.

for the next patch, i will but safe gausrds and error messages in place to overwrite already existing files.

i have also gotten feeback on that error and the high sensitivity of the arrow keys.

muzzle flash should be in the next update if i can get it working correctly in FPSC, it seems that whenever i replaace the image, it doesnt show up.

i will look into EVERYTHING that is posted or suggested, and hopefully, patch 1.1 will fix most of the problems, as well as add a few of the partially implemented features.

@everyone
from now on, if your weapon crashes in FPSC, please attach a zip of your FPSC exported weapon to your post, if the editor crashes, please try and give me a step by step walk thru to reproduce the bug.

nice piece of software you got running here. to bad. i would buy it. its great and everything but i dont model or animate i truly suck at it. but im good at level design

im really going to need more feedback than this.

ive gotten hardly no emails pertaing to bugs, and i KNOW that they are there...

i dont mean to be rude, but please post even the littles tiny annoyance you can find, please, id rather have a thread of suggestions than an emmpty thread.

but i need bug reports, because after the 26th, i wont be able to work on it for a while becasue im going on vacation

I get it when I've click the final button before saving, I get the "save as" dialogue box, when I'm exporting a FULL weapon, then it f^^^s up. I dont always get it, but it's gauranteed if I try to overwrite a previous save.

I get the error whe I try to test run a level with enemy entities.
If there are no entities the weapons work fine.

Its when you save ANY weapon? try using the other options, like MAKE WEAPON and stuff, and see if you get the same error. I would try it, but im not at my computer right now.

It happens when I use the make weapon function.It also happens when I use the Export Weapon as... function.
If I click "Make gun" I get an error message from WCS: saying "Runtime error 104-The file is invalid at line 1756."

I can get it to create the files now after much trial and error but no matter where I postion it in relation to the first person view it will not show up ingame hud. I simply get the picked up weapon message then nothing. Any idea?

ok,

so far, i know we have a problem with enemys holding weapons made with W.C.S., and we seem to have some errors in the editor causeing it to crash...

there is also some reports of the weapon not showing up...

is there anything else that im missing before a patch is released? any other problems at all?

i am terribly sorry for not answering this earlier.

the past couple of weeks have been hell, firstly, im in the middle of a cross-country move, second, i forgot to pay my cable bill and the internet shut off, and then my external HD gets smashed...



im not trying to excuse myself of anything, but yes i am still working on it, it is taking a little bit longer than expected, but it is still being worked on.

I am not at homw right now, and wont be back until the 25th, but as soon as i get home, i will work non stop to get W.C.S. V1, E.C.S. V2 and Level viewer Pro, as well as a few other applications im working on released to the public.

W.C.S. V1 IS on the top of my list.

again, im terribly sorry for the wait...

also, a not to anyone that may buy one of my programs from now to the 25th, it may take a little longer than expected to get your links because i dont have direct acsess to a computer.

You have to animate your own weapon before you import it into a weapon making program.
For WCS the model needs to be in .x format.
Basically with an FPSC app your models should be in .x format.

Yes it can do melee weapons but you must animate your weapons before you import them into WCS.
No weapon creation application can animate weapons at this point.
