Andrew : See if you have d3d_28.dll (or something like that) in windowssystem32.
Diggsey : Why not ?
Virtual : Cool .

I'm working on the 'ambience' and weather effetcs, it will be better once finished.

Are you deliberately ignoring everyone who is having problems running your game

Not really , but I will release a patch as soon as possible with some improvements and all problems fixed.

And as I said before : if the game crash, set 'optimization' to 0 in the config file, it will fix the problem in a lot of cases. And if it's a direct x problem, I can't do anything.

Edit : island v3 is out, same link http://dbpupload.blackgate.us/math89/Island/Island.rar

if you have the error saying that you need to update, i think this is because of a file missing in the DX update..
if you go to the program announcements boards and look at Stick Suicide 2 then there is a link somewhere in a post on the first page to a file you must download and put in your windows\system32 directory i think.

this game looks really cool, downloading now

I think this program really needs strafing controls. It's rather annoying trying to get one of the midgets up into the volcano without being able to strafe.

Hmm... I have some extra ideas..

- Ability to grab a midget and throw/drop it (Like Half-Life 2).
- Abiltiy to create and delete midgets
- Ability to create flames or other elementals

Also, there's a little glitch in the chatting system, I think...

Sometimes the midgets won't talk to each other even if I place all of them together into the lagoon.

You can, with right mouse button
Quote: "

You can delete them if you launch them too far and they fall off their world, but the create tool can be a good idea.

I think I'll add some spells and weapons

This is not a bug, actually, they don't speak if they aren't near the ground.

Dude, this game has a lot of potential. You should make the guys ragdolls or something. I have a feeling that this will get a lot better over time.

Keep up the good work,
Homey

lol, that is definitely one of the best DBP games I've ever played, I'm addicted to it, I even started a fat man bond fire

Great job, your games never cease to amaze me . You should make it to where you can change the time of day though .

v3 ran fine once I set optimization to 0. Very nice demo you've got here. One of the newbs asked me to make a giga-gun for his mmorpgfpsrts(or whatever) so I threw him off the map.

Thank you a lot .
You can change the 'time' in the config file :
sky=1 : cloudy sunset, sky=2 : normal (as in the first demo), sky=3 : night. But perhaps you means a realtime day/night cycle.

Hehe... This is great fun. I added some more dialogs to the dialog script I made them say something like:

"I R COMEDIAN!"

And then another would answer:

"U R NOT!"

Hehe... I think I'm gonna add more dialogs later, it's fun. Also I really like the new water shader!

Good job.

awesome, and you have different maps too . This is great, lol. One thing you should add is where you can go into a mode where you have gravity, so you can walk around .

I downloaded and extracted. I clicked on the exe icon and the screen goes black. A few seconds later, in the top left hand corner the word "noob" appears. After a few more seconds the screen goes blue and a small little white box appears in the center of the screen. Even more seconds later I hear voices and then I realise nothing is going to happen, and so I press escape. Nothing happens. I press alt F4, nothing happens. Control, alt and delete but nothing happens. The computer crashes and I have to restart. Whats going on? Please tell me!

The noob text means the computer is loading the characters, and if you hear the voices, it means that loading is complete and characters are talking each other.

Try to set 'optimization' to 0 in the config file and/or lower the 'characters' value (change 'sky' to 2 if it's too dark) but really, I don't know what happens :S.

As I was messing around with your awesome game, i came across a bug you might want to fix, part of the map 1 is transparent

Hmm... Actually, it's not really a bug : all vertices under the sea are transparent. The only strange thing is the stretched uv map. I'll try to fix it.

@gil: Isn´t that what happens if you use a bloom shader and then zoom the camera to near an object? I´m not sure, though...
