Interesting looking project. One thing that I think may be a big problem though is the directx issue. I doubt that the majority of people have the required version of directx to run dbpro applications, so I guess this wouldn't work for most people - regardless of whether the application appears within a browser window or not.

You are right Ric. But Thats nothing that an advice on the webpage that its going to host the app. Somthing like: "You need Directx version blablbla to run this application! You can download the last version from LINK...

Same as other web applications like (A)PDF, Flash Movies, (Quick T).. ETC. I don't wanna mention trademarks..

I'd love to see this become free. Now however if I were you I would strongly suggest taking it, releaseing the ability to use it free, and then make a dll to use it and retrieve integers etc. and put them into MySQL databases .

I would pay for the databases thing (more than likely).

EDIT

If at first you dont succeed, LOWER YOUR STANDARDS.

But any DBP program can be a virus and delete files and collect information and so forth --whether it's embedded in the browser or not. So what's the difference? If you would download and run someone's game why not download and run someone's game from the browser?

*raises hand*

Please let us know when this is done. Did you look into doing this for PlayBasic games too?
