LOL, thanks Loc!So long as I don't lose the money when it crashes! I appreciate your support, and DANG that car cost you a bundle, although lets face it, it's the same everywhere, I blew £2000 ($4000) on my ensurance last year!

Here's a video of SOME of the lights in the pack.

And MK83, thanks for the nice comment!

Good luck in the sales, Butters. I agree with Locrian's assertion that we must support the Indie developers. Without all of us (those of us that give away free media, and sell media at an Indie price), FPSCreator would be pretty limited. I think people like: Butters, Locrian, S4, AE, Smitho, Innovator, JonF, Bond, Errant AI, and many others; are an important commodity to this community...one that is taken for granted all the time.

Thanks keith!

Sales are doing pretty well considering it's only been up 14 hours.

There are still a bunch of people who said they are interested, who haven't bought yet, but I'm sure it'll pick up... I hope it does.
If this doesn't sell well, I'll just abandon the idea of selling things. I had so many people ask me to give away the light effects, that I thought it was a pretty sure idea for a product!

I too hope it sells well, and thank you for your support!

I agree with Keith. When I first joined the FPSC forums there wasn't much media available...except at Templar's site...may it rest in peace.
That was a good thing for me,though.Generally if I wanted something I had to make it.
The bottom line is without indie (or indy...as us rednecks in Indiana probably spell it...) developers selling/giving away stuff and the support of the forum members FPSC might be dead.
The best support we have for FPSC is each other.
I haven't forgotten about buying your pack,Butters.I am still waiting for my check to get here.I didn't figure you would see the humor in my mailing you an I.O.U.
I do hope you finish FOTF...although I understand if you don't.
FOTF is the only FPSC demo that I have kept on my pc.I still play it from time to time.

And many others is right. I just wanted to mention rolfy as well because his work is so good and unusual, but I'm sure there are many more we can't think of at the moment.

Best.

I'm sorry, my answers are limited. You must ask the right question.

Yet again some awesome work coming it from you butters.
Sorry I took a while to get into this topic, ive been away from the forums for a while. This is a key effect in any FPS game, with perfect examples such as FEAR, COD2 and even SWAT4. Strange how the awesome games are abbreviated in capitals? I reckon that if it were not for these type of decals, the games FPSC gets out would look rather flat, since the shaders only go so far (but a bit further with the new shader version..).
I think you'll get a good ammount of purchases for this pack, but unfortunately I have no reason to purcahse FPSC content anymore. I don't use FPSC to make games anymore, but merely a stress relief by making content for it at times.
Anyway, got a bit side tracked there..
I say again, Awesome work.

Dan.

I just bought it. Can't wait to receive it so I can create super moody levels.

Very nice work.

Great videos depicting the product and a seriously demented website (in a good way).

Keep up the good work. Feel free to create some more great fpsc enhancements. We can always use more enhancements!

Is there any way to buy it without using PayPal? Say, a cheque order, or COD, or HADDOCK, or MACKEREL, or something?
I really want this! If it came out as an official TGC Pack I'd be alowed to get it...

TO A MOD.

Please remove phlum's Gigantic teeshirt from page 2, not only is it big, it is also erroneous,, as this is unlikely to get stickied!

To Phlum

Dude, thanks for your posts and your words, but the big picture was unneccessary. It's nice to be appreciated, but that was a little overwhelming! I have no idea what HADDOCK and MACKREL are, also COD? I know they're fish, but I'm guessing you're not intending to pay me with seafood.

Why could you buy if it's TGC but not me anyway?! I haven't ripped anyone off. With one exception (Due to server error) everyone recieved their product (and a free update), within the 48hour period. All smiles. (As far as I know)!

Drop me an email about this yeah? If you're in the UK we might be able to sort something out.... might!

TO EVERYONE ELSE!

Thanks so much for buying it! It means alot that my first product has done well... rest assured there's another in the pipeline right now!

I hope everyone is having fun with the lights

Please post some screenies of your work, here. It'd be really nice to see how it's being used.

Peace
Butters

I deleted the post and although I have covered the t-shirt issue in other threads I will do it once more...the t-shirts are kind of fun when you use them sensibly...when you overuse them or use them inappropraitely (as in this case) it loses its effect.
While I let Keith deal with stickies unless I add onto one we generally do not make new stickes anymore.
The reason for this is because we had too many to begin with and we had to get rid of some.
Keith might link this to one of the stickies.
Also we tend not to sticky apps for sale for a variety of reasons.
Some apps may or may not be worth buying (this one is IMO) but making an app a sticky is kind of like us endorsing it and it is TGC's policy not to endorse third party apps.
I personally think this is an excellent product and will be useful to anybody who uses FPSC and Butters has done an excellent job on it.
It's about time he earned a few bucks for his efforts.

Safak,

The light pools work fine on my two test computers, but I'll have a look into it.It may just be something quite simple that I can tweak and send to you. Do the not appear at all, or do the appear but incorrectly. I'm really sorry for the delayed response, just been very busy around here lately!

Hi happy to hear from you, and sorry to keep this thread busy.

They appear in the editor as colored circles but they do not appear in test mode or in final game.

There is nothing in test or final game to tell that they are there.

Thank you for helpinm so fast.

Safak, I appologise profusely for not having delt with the light pools. I have just nailed down a full time job, and I have to say I'm feeling the pressure a bit.

LYTE:FX will soon be upgrading to V2. Rofly has given me some ideas for new lights, and I'm gonna overhaul some of the originals. The update will take Lyte:FX to around 60 decals in the pack.

Still the same price, and people who bought V1 will be entitled to a free upgrade.

Sean, I have message sent confirmation to your other address. Perhaps check your junk, as it's sent via yousendit. I can't understand why it wouldn't send, although some web browsers/email managers seem to think the LYTE:FX application is a virus... rest assured it's been scanned with norton, AVG and McAffee, and it's not... I think it's to do with the way its compiled. Sean if your in the UK, I can send you a CD with the files on it, might save us messing around with emails. If not don't stress, I'll try sending to your new email...

Again thanks for your support everyone... I hope people are getting a kick out of this!

I seem to be having the problem with the light pools as well.
They show up in the level editor when I place them but don't seem to work in the level.
Not trying to be nit-picky and this is definitely worth it even if they don't work for me.
Heck,it could be something I am doing wrong.

guys, with regards to the light pools. If I can request you live without them for a bit (I admit myself that they are the weakest looking feature of V1), I will include new ones in the march update.

Love.
