This shows me driving off a cliff, and the third level (Heavily work in progress). There are cool things like jumps and bumps!

So long story short; I'm still working on it.

Ha ha, looks awesome. Is that the track map at the bottom right? I can't imagine what else it would.

Anyways, looks very Dumbow and Coolish. Will you be adding things like the falling missiles from the battlefield level? 'Cause that would be really cool.

I take that the low gamespeed is due to Fraps?

It sure is! It's running at about 40,45 fps in the videos instead of 60fps ingame.

"Weapons":

Machine gun, speed boost - done
Rockets - WIP

Game elements: Rolling snowballs, oil barrels to avoid, Studes. Some destructable crates and cones, too.

More neat stuff to come, too!

Looks cool Drew. I loved D&C so this should be great as well! One suggestion is when they do jumps and land they seem to jerk a bit. Like they rotate 10 degrees instantly. Maybe add a bit of transitional rotation into there to smooth it out. Othewise it's awesome

Hi Drew

Just got done playing the test version you send me. Excellent game! Very well done.

I really love the graphical style, and the nice effects that has been added into the game. Also I'm impressed with the music and sounds in the game! They fit perfectly and they're really nice.

Right now the only suggestion that I have is that maybe it would be a good idea to change the boost powerup so you would be able to decide when to use it, instead of having it go off by itself right away.

Also, I found two minor problems(they weren't big, but worth mentioning). First off I noticed that the licence plate on the go-kart didn't rotate proberly when the kart was rotated in directions like falling off edges and so on. I also noticed that after having completed the game and it returned to the main menu, there was a sprite left over on the menu background from a snow effect inside the game.

It all worked really great, good job!

You're adding more tracks? That's awesome!! I wasn't going to say anything, but the more levels the better!

Q.
What kind of voice acting is in the game?

And you might have answered this, but are you going to sell this? I'm guessing it's going to be commercial quality, but you've had awful luck with game sales in the past. If you do, I'd recommend a large number of tracks and difficulty settings (about say 8-10 tracks), and selling it for more than $10, say at least $15. If it goes well, you could re release D&C, at a price more around $15 as well, or perhaps sell the kart game for $15, with the option of paying $20 for D&C bundled with it. Just an idea, if you don't want to sell it then by all means don't.

Hi Bizar Guy,

Voice acting is limited; just things like "Ouch" and "Yeah!". The voices sound good though; they're all well recorded and modified to be cartoony, etc...

Selling it: I'm still working out what I'm going to do with the title when it's complete.

If you're going to sell it, the current array of tracks won't be enough, I guess. It looks extremely polished already, so don't screw up on the amount of content. Try to keep the downloadsize reasonable for the game, I'd say 15-30MB would work pretty well.

Very, very, offtopic, I just saw 'Milk Paton: making of' yesterday and I laughed my as off.
