aka ... Space Invaders

I finished this a while ago but just realised that I hadn't made a Program announcement.
The WIP didn't get many views, probably because it was called Space Invaders and who cares about Space Invaders?

So, here's a psychological experiment. Will the new name generate more views?

Man that's sweet i love 3D space invaders, can you make a Galaxain clone next plx It's just space invaders with a different attack pattern realy.

I think you need to use my encryption dll to stop players editing the highscore table though, hehehe.

It made an empty name, when I got the top score, is that a bug?.

I thought I could turn my back on this one now, but it seems I will have to delve into the source code again.

Mmm, I thought it was 3D as in you see the ship from behind. Turned out to just be Space Invaders with 3D graphics. Not that it's bad, but the screenies made me expect more. Worked well, played well, didn't look bad. Nice one .

+ nice explosions
+ sound fx
+ graphics
+ I like your games, especially Concentric

- no music
- no innovation, just the same as space invaders

Version 1.1 is now available for download.

There were 1 or 2 bugs that needed fixing, so that is what I have done.

There was a problem with the high score chart sometimes giving the 2nd place score the 1st place position - Fixed!

There was also a problem where if you fired of a bullet and then lost your final life that bullet could still go on to score you points but those points were only displayed on screen and not actually recorded - Fixed

The sound effect when the player explodes was the same as when an enemy explodes, so you couldn't tell the difference - Fixed

The Font was supposed to be LCD but it was not using it. Thanks to Spooky for pointing out IanM's code (thank Ian) that is now fixed.

The High Scores were stored in a text file that could be opened in notepad and modified. That is now encypted and any attempt to modify it will result in the scores being reset to default(ie. Scraggle has them all!)

Ahh, another scraggle original. Excellent!
Incedentally, if you look on the 'last message posted' thing right now , it says 'Super mega hyper galactic... Scraggle'.

Very nice. Solid and looks professional. The hi-score bug you mentioned- scores not being in the right order, was present in "balls" too, if you didn't already know. Glad you sorted it. Where did you get/how did you make the explosions BTW?
