I mean that in no offense, but try using a uv mapping program cause it really helps"

I like its texture, and besides for firsties their awesome the uv-map i think is decent.

Well for your next 'complex object' (I'm actually being cheeky here)

Try following my beginners tutorial that I've just released and see what you can do from there:

So I have quit using milkshape and gotten to try Anim8or, which is pretty awsome for a freeware, and so I made a new sword and a new texture for it, I made everything, modell and texture
so here are some shots of it

The part I'm most proud with in the texture is the handle, it looks kinda awsome up close, check it out

You don't need it...you really only need a program with the ability to 'cut/knife', extrude and manipulate parts of a mesh...I used the simplest of tools for the tutorial to apply to most 3D applications. I would think Milkshape is capable of those tools, if not, I notice you said you're trying anim8or and I know it has what I used.

Your updated stuff is looking good.

cool cool, good luck with that. If you need any advice or anything I'd be happy to help, unfortunately I won't be able to do any tutorials/demonstrations, I officially won't have the time to spare for those until Christmas.

Cool cool and no problem - I think more people should offer up help - both people learn something as they're doing it (as you have to think about the 'right' way about doing things more before you help the person out - makes you reconsider your own methods etc.), so it only seems smart to me to give up thoughts/advice.

Dude, I may be the exception. <edited> might even be worth creating a website or something <edit>

But.. I think its time you made a new thread , called it Alucard Showcase or something.

I look back and check what you've made but I don't feel like saying well done after each one. I expect (but I can't be certain) that a lot of other forum browsers are doing the same.

You have some really nice models. No doubting that. But I think its a bit too much to be expecting feedback on every single model (especially as you seem to be producing about one a day).

Optionally as you seem to be quite good at it why don't you create a weapons model pack (and maybe ask for donations?). Then we can give you feedback on several models at a time. I'm sure a lot of people creating games would have no objection to some nice models.

Anyway enough of me spouting on.

Please note this is my personal opinion and may not portray other members and or the forums view on the subject.

That sounds more sensible. You seem to have 2 main weapons packs right now..

1. Swords , daggers and pointy objects (fantasy)
2. Guns, guns and a few more guns (military / scifi)

Quote: "I will reales it free and not going to ask for donations"

thats fair enough, but think of it this way, a few donations might be enough to get you a graphics tablet or a new piece of software. Then you could make models faster and or better quality.

(If) I ever make anything comercially viable I will be asking for donations. just because it may one day help pay for a piece of technology I need. If you really get in the swing you may need to create your own .com and although there not expensive, every little helps.

If you make a pack and 100 people download it , 10 people might think yeah thats worth $2... You do the math.
