Phoenix Game Protection Advanced has all the capabilities of Professional and higher editions except for the ability to have Online registration options for your end-user. New to PGPa and higher editions is the improved Offline Registration system. Now, instead of producing a single key for each process run, you can create up to 2500 (this value is limited for optimum performance) unique Offline keys for distribution of your game with a single processing run of your game with PGPS.

Convert It! by Phoenix Sentry

Convert It! Has been updated with a new look and (most importantly) the ability to do batch conversions of files to .tga and .dds with the "_d2" designator automatically entered in the filename. If you use the FPSC Segment editor, then you know why this part is so important.

5 posts down there is another post about the same product. What's the point in posting another?

By way of demonstration, he emitted a batlike squeak that was indeed bothersome.

@the_winch: The other threads will not be used by us at this point. This one thread will be used for everything. At this point it looks like more clutter, but in the long run it'll help reduce clutter.

Thanks guys. I'm working on the Menu Designer right now. I want to put it in the free Edition, but the final say is up to FastBurst. He's the

Hey DarkFact, Phoenix Web Browser (PWB), is almost ready for release, but we have a problem, I need to know how to remove the admin rights from the installer for the program. I can't seem to figure it out!

I just realised, there's a little icon at the top with two people like the MSN logo. What's that for, or is it a link to a forum somewhere?

Update: PGPS Feature

I'm going to put a functional key mapper in Advanced and higher editions of PGPS. By functional, I mean that the end-user only has to type the key they want to use and the program does that conversion to FPSC scancodes. On load, the setup.ini is read by the program and the scancodes are converted into characters, not numbers. When a selection is made, the character is converted to the FPSC scancode, etc.

@Seth Black: Thanks back at ya.

Here's some more on the Advanced Edition.

Key Mapper fully integrated into the in-game settings menu
Menu Designer has "load by media pack" option. You can load all 15 image/sound files with one click using pre-made media packs! You can even create your own easily.
Toggle the menu designer's tool bars with the F2 key

Update: 27 AUG 07

Changed exit behavior. If you select the "Move Folder" option on exit, then the processed game folder, offline registration key folder (if applicable) and the game installer folder (if applicable) are all moved onto the desktop in a central save folder that is unique on each save

Updated small code blocks to be more intuitive. The navigation process through Phoenix Advanced is no long linear. You may go back and forth between options, the menu designer, etc. until you're ready to finish. Then use the integrated Inno installer to package your game.

Thanks, crispex. I've been working with beta testers for some other engines and their input is making PGPS Advanced and higher editions better and better. Here's a small list of improvements in the last few days:

Preview Sound/Video can be stopped with ESC in Phoenix setup application

Story Videos can be stopped with ESC in game playback. The splash video cannot be stopped by the end-user.

On game setup exit, you can select or create your output folder. I had this default to the desktop, but testers wanted to choose their own folders. The game, game installer, offline or online keys folders all all copied here on exit if you select this option.

Option to limit games to a specified time limit will be implemented. This way, you can distribute your games as trial editions with the option to buy/register online.

The Menu Designer is used for all game platforms now. What in-game settings/options are displayed will depend on the game platform you choose.

In the Menu Designer, we've added the ability to load all images and sounds with a single click. Media artists can create and sell media packs for Phoenix using our templates.

I know FastBurst sent out a newsletter with a buy-it-now button on it. I don't see a website link though. I'll get with him and see when he's going to update the website. I think he wanted to give our current customer base first shot at buying before we have to handle all the orders from the rest of the world.

I check the orders often during the weekend, so processing shouldn't take more than a few hours....mere minutes in most cases. But please be aware that order processing may take a while on weekends.

Underside, your order is complete and email sent out. I'll get a confirmation email from our webserver when you register. But if you have any issues, let me know. Thanks man!

@crispex: True, it would be nice to have a lot of forum members on our site. But keep in mind it's there primarily for customer support. If Phoenix was more than just a game packager, there might be more to talk about. So what we really need is more reasons to attract more members. See where I'm going here?
