DarkFact,

Quote: "This is so you don't accidentally put in a button around 512x6400 or something. So the maximum width is 512px and the maximum height is 64px. (I don't personally see a need for a larger button size, but let me know if I'm being too strict on this.)"

Not really too strict, but if you could consider allowing a square image above 64x64 (300x300, for example) it would really open up the creative latitude...circular buttons, squared buttons, irregular shaped buttons, etc.

My original concept for the Visceral buttons was scrapped because I couldn't generate the graphic images above 64x64. The Visceral166 buttons serve their purpose, but would really come to life in the original concept of Visceral300.

Thanks,

Seth Black

I hope you do get a good game going.

Update:

I sent out an email to all the Pro Edition owners about getting an update tonight. I just finished putting in a new feature that isn't in the latest update. The feature is the ability to preview the settings screen made in the Menu Designer in real-time to see the buttons in action with the sounds and roll-overs.

Do you guys want to wait on this? It will still be tonight but it will be later. Here's a video showing it in action:

Preview Function 3.3MB

Yes it is! It's not hard. I took the Settings screen form from the game launcher application and modified it. It works fine in my tests. It's done in PGPS Advanced. I just need to copy it over and modify it yet again for the Professional Edition.

Quickly is an overstatement. It took me a few hours to troubleshoot because the ini file data was giving me issues. Okay, what does Tu meke mean?

@Seth Black:

I can rework the code to accept the new button heights by default or create a preferences screen maybe. Please remind me of this feature request so I don't forget it!

@Seth Black: Thanks man. I think I'll get some time to work on this tonight or tomorrow. I have 4 major missions to complete this weekend:

1) Get the Menu Designer "preview" function added to the Advanced Edition
2) Edit the Standard Edition with the latest code updates from Advanced and higher pertaining to faster code execution.
3) Begin work on this feature.
4) Watch Saw III

@Seth Black and CoZ, it was awesome! I don't see how they're gonna keep Jigsaw in still, but that's part of the brilliant writing I guess.

Yup, it's the code. Once my brother is off of my laptop, I will get it on a floppy (it's small, because all I did was the layout!), then I will send via email.

How did I miss that?
It's just excellent. I was planning to program something similar (more basic) in C++, but I see it's pointless if this one works.
Anyway, I've purchased the advanced edition. Waiting for and e-mail...
Thanks!

@DarkFact:Sorry to stray off topic DarkFact, and i didn't to bombard your inbox with 100's of one sentence emails, but id just like to ask: Do you require anymore info for the 'PGP custom'. Also, did you manage to release a update fixing the 'shares' problem?

Sorry again

@creator of zombies: No problem.

I have the issues corrected and implemented in v21 of Professional. I have to now fix and create patches for Standard and Advanced. Your custom edition will be easy to do, but I may enlist the help of one of my textures gurus to make your icon.

Update: 11 Oct 07

v21 has been re-coded to fix the following:

shares check error
Set Registry error
Encryption/Decryption error

99% of the now 500 people using Phoenix have not reported having a problem. But we're striving to fix it for that 1% out there.

DarkArena: Complex (in the showcase) is using the latest Professional update if you want to check it out.

Updates of the Standard edition will take place tomorrow.

That's definitely THE BEST PRODUCT EVER!

I am still from these 99% with no bugs , but how about the "Advanced edition". I don't see it on the website. Does this mean there will be no support for this edition anymore?

I'm slowing getting ready to pass the project over to my partner FastBurst so I can concentrate more on my family and private projects. Advanced Edition owners will be upgraded to Professional software except they will not get free access to the online validation options. This can be upgraded at your convenience, of course.

Update: 22 Oct 07

I have transferred all legal rights to Phoenix to my partner, FastBurst. He owns it all now, I just get a little $$ from sales.

If you have any needs, please contact him via the Phoenix Sentry website or his email contact via TGC.

It was great doing business with you guys and I hope Phoenix lives long! By the way, this does NOT effect the contest. The contest is still going and is already funded anyway.

I'm still considered a part of Phoenix, I'm just a non-participating partner is all.

Keep in mind Dave is a silent partner now and still earns revenue of the sales and support.
