Server was taken offline due to poor programming, it caused my 4U rackmount with more airflow than Raven in 2004 to overheat, the process ate 100% CPU all the time...

Apparently i'm not the first person to have this issue.

Your server application needs reprogrammed before you should consider opening it up to public testing. Very Very Very Bad.

Then I think you're about 5 years too late, according to Profit's quoted info. But I doubt you have anything to worry about, it's not like they sue over this.

I recommend you get rid of the water effect, when in view, frame rate drops by alot, from about 100 to about 58 on this computer(it's fairly mid range.) or at least an option to turn it off.

be sure that no metter what FPS you got over the game, the game will be the speed all the time.. its all timered system!

but besides that, next version ill release, it will be with effect disable/enable options onto it. and i belive i will do the "option saving" ONLINE.. so neither you will run any place, you will get the same X/Y positons of the popups you set it and the same options will be set.

Sounds good. Do you have any idea why the water effect takes so much fps though? It would be useful to figure out if you could optimise it. Later in dev you might really need that extra fps. I think you mentioned where you got the shader (it's not on this page, but is probably on the last), but I'm sure there's a way to optimise it, or prove that you can't optimise it.

the shader ir from freddix's shader pack.. i've made my script system to read any shaders and apply them on objects, but i didnt added yet the shader Technique.. maybe thats the problem? (could it be?)

This is looking very promising. Once you expand on what you have, with things like combat and items, you will have one of the most impressive projects around. Speaking of that, how long will we have to wait before we can battle monsters?

That's a nice job you did, Sergey. The bugs I saw are : I have been DCded with an error saying "array out of bounds at line 103" I think it was 103 but not sure. When we connect, we are in the air until we move.

But, it's coming along great.

humm.. about that collision bug, fixed.
but about that array problem.. it couldnt be line 103.. all the real code stars from line 1700+++
please take a look again. or at least tell me on what kind of "event" you got that error?
player joins, player left, u click on anything or something like that?

i was thinking it was in choosing the same password, pretty sure no one uses the username that i do, but my password was pretty generic on there

neah.. its because i didnt eraced the arrays right when somoene log out. that means, the whole character's info is still over the same array. so once somone joining the game, the account info is from the character that last joined..
but i fixed it
