Yes, it was VERY fun!
Quote: "Will it work with 1.08 and 1.09?"
As with all mods currently being made, it is based on the V1.07 source, so any additional features from V1.08 and V1.09 and (sooner or later) V2 will not be there unless stated otherwise by the modder.
Quote: "If you could control each gun, like one button fires right weapon, other button fires left weapon, that would be great, is it possible?"
Sorry, yes, I completely forgot to mention how the mod actually configures the button handling. Well, here it is:
- Holding down the Left CTRL key while swapping weapons will effect your left-hand weapon. This works with pressing numbers and using the mouse wheel to change weapons.
- Zoom/Scope feature is disabled when dual-wielding.
- While dual-wielding: left-click will fire your left weapon, and right-click will fire your right weapon.
- Pressing R to reload will reload BOTH weapons.
- When one weapon runs out of ammo and it has ammo in the "stock" of ammo, it will auto-reload as is normal. This works with both weapons as can be seen in the video (during the last fire-fight).
That about does it for controls.
Quote: "I am sooo glad to see you guys are still working on Lemur V2"
Who said anything about Lemur V2? This is for Ply's unofficial Mod only at this point in time.
Quote: "Will this mod be free?"
You can have one of the following:
1)
Free? Yes
Watermark? Yes
2)
Free? No
Watermark? No
Take your pick.
Quote: "I did realize a little bug... two muzzleflashes are never going at the same time in the video. Only one will flash at a time."
Not a bug.
Each gun has their OWN muzzleflash plain, and it IS possible to have them both visible at the same time. I believe I saw a few points in the video that showed that, but they do flicker so fast that it's hard to tell.
Okay, sorry for not releasing the download as promised. Some personal issues came up, and that always takes priority.
To make up for it, here's a list of things that I'll be fixing up in the mod before it is released:
- Gun HUD will incorporate both guns currently being wielded. This will show both gun Pictures in the SAME picture as well as having both guns' ammo counts.
- Adding a field to the "gunspec.txt" to allow guns that the engine should NOT allow to be dual-wielded. (For big weapons that wouldn't be fair if the user dualed them)
- Each gun will have it's own "ammo clip". As it stands right now, if you used two of the same gun, they would share a clip and would both run out of ammo at the same time.
The one and only,
