I just found this:
http://tryhavok.intel.com/
which says you can downlaod a free non-comercial version of havok. I thought, "wow thats cool". I ahvnt downlaoded it yet, but would it be possible to sue as a replacement for Dark physics in GDK?

I bought Physx Cards tried them and returned them they appeared to have no speed benifit. I expect that Nvidia will transfer to Cuda which would reach a huge base of users

**** Edit ****
From Nvidia FAQ

Quote: "
I use PhysX in my game development now? How do I enable it to take advantage of GPU PhysX?
Continue developing based on your existing PhysX software platform. Your development efforts should take advantage of GPU PhysX when new system software is delivered to gamers later this year. For more information, visit NVIDIA's Developer Zone.
"

Hopefully this will be adopted by TGC

I would imagine that this will be controlled by the drivers. So, when we get graphics hardware with a built-in PPU, we should also get some updated drivers which bridge the gap as it were.

Microsoft Windows = BSOD
Microsoft XBOX 360 = RROD

It is my understanding that you wont be needing a ppu the concept of Cuda is to use the parallel processing power of the GPU to do this function. Nvidia has a list of all cards that are capable of using Cuda so if yours is on the list you shoud get a real boost for Physics although there has to be some form of cost in graphics processing speed. It will be interesting

Ahh, I see. I was under the impression that there was going to be a seperate unit onboard the graphics hardware. Thanks for the info, I'm currently in the market for a new graphics card so I will take a look at this list beforehand.

At first I was more excited - but if the physics detracts from the card's GFX or shader processing or ANYTHING, I'd rather have separate slot for physics.
