"L IV" (Lemur the 4th) is in production. What's in it?

Lobby system for FPSC multiplayer games. You join the lobby and chat with the players before the host launches the game.
Multi-map from WITHIN your game
Advanced Admin of server commands such as kicking people, changing settings before game in the lobby, etc etc

And more to come.
This is NOT a vb program, this is builtin to fpsc's engine!

The host's WIP view.

The joiner's view

What's needed to be done on the gui? Add in buttons for altering server options and add a ready button, a launch button and a quit to main menu button.

Wow! I'm glad you started on another Lemur thing. It's great that we finally have a new Lemur mod. I've just got two questions:

Where did Lemur V3 go?

Does this have all of the old Lemur stuff in it?

I really do hope this works out, unlike Lemur V2 before.

Lemur 3 is a different portion... (You'll hear about it later)

Yes

What do you mean? Lemur V2 was released to the masses...

Lemur V2 with shaders/water was not released because of an agreement with Nighthawk. Enough said.

Yeah sometime I'll get a new sig going up, but I've always wanted to add a lobby system to fpsc, so this will be very cool. Airmod will be implemented, but NO shaders. If you know me well- I'm all about multiplayer gameplay- I don't need shaders to drag down performance when the game is about reaction time- not a beauty contest...

Lemur has returned!

If this is Lemur V4, the MP gameplay one, does that mean V3 is a graphics one?

There is no Graphics Lemur, he didn't release it because of the arguments with Nighthawk... He even said that about 9 posts above yours.

looks good Urlforce but i have some questions

Are you gonna mod the engine so we can run scripts in multiplayer?

And Are you gonna mod the engine so we can have multi and single player in one exe?

Other than that its looking great!

Lemur 3 AND 4!?! You really are revolutionising FPSC multiplayer aren't you? Just a couple o' thoughts though. Will this version (and previous versions within it) be easier to use. Because I'm scared of installing V2 and I just wanna know if getting it ready will be more user-friendly. Also, will this be used with scripts and .exe setups, or will you be able to do it directly in FPSC?

Overall, how easy will this be to use?

I troll because I care.

No, it's just the download was confusing, because (if I recall) all the files looked like replacement files for stock media, etc. So I had no idea what to do with them.

More importantly, will V4 be utilised in FPSC or is it done by changing settings in the exe?

I troll because I care.

Do you think you could add a host swap feature? Like if the host decides to quit, before he does it picks the player with the best ping (or something), gets their IP, and then sends it to everyone else with the command to join them? And of course the person in question would get the command to host. The clients wouldn't try to join immediately, they'd wait a few seconds and then start trying to connect, say maybe 4 times, and if it fails it says the party was ended.

I went to the Lemur website to see if there's anything new there, and I got this at the forum:
http://www.lemurpowered.com/forum/index.php

Don't think that's supposed to be there...

EDIT: Found a few things. These people are, as their name says, located in Turkey, which is confirmed against their IP, 88.255.89.195. I hate internet defacement, so I reported them to their ISP, Turk Telekom.

I know fpsc V2 isn't out yet but all the moders from the community can create this with all the mods from the forum

Imaginate ply's mod with lemur and air mod

and like this fpsc will be must populare because he has potential but all moders work alone so it didn't make good mod because it miss something that is in other mods

Look - I am all for combining mods. In fact Airmod will be implemented in this. However - This is a mp mod. I don't want shaders, vehicles or other variable scripting in it. Why? Because it would be pointless performance wise.

Just because it sounds like a good idea, doesn't make it "work".
