Fixed.

Oh and Omega, I wouldn't suggest quoting yourself.

If you don't want me to quote myself, that's fine. But, again, its not like its a competition, so there's really no "Nominating".
But, whatever, I won't quote myself anymore, even though I really don't see what difference it makes.

Omega you don't understand why it's recommended not to quote yourself. Did you actually read

Quote: "I'm pretty sure we shouldn't be nominating ourselves for this, because clearly some of us believe we're funnier than we really are."
?

Yes, I read that, and yes I understand the reasoning behind it.
But, I still think that we should be able to post our own quotes if we think they;re funny. If no one else thinks the quotes is funny, it won't get added, and that's the end of it.
Its not like its hurting anything when someone posts one of their own quotes. And, who knows, other people might think its funny too.

guys this is getting pointless making quotes to then use in this thread
/sigh
the whole point of this thread is to quote OTHER peoples stupidity of funny comments, i have of course made exceptions because people have made quotes that everyone does in fact find funny, but Omega gamer 89 seriously...
your spamming this thread making it less interesting
either shutup or quote something decent.

Quote: "Forumz, forimz, forrumz... apollo!"

yes i see that all the time am i meant to be rolling on the floor laughing or something
Quote: "...but I am the ferret king!!!! BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! tremble before my ferret minions!"

... are you mentally well?
Quote: "Violence is never an option. It comes standard."

what is the point in you positing on the board
Quote: "Its not like its hurting anything "

hurting no, annoying yes
Quote: "I still think that we should be able to post our own quotes if we think they're funny. If no one else thinks the quotes is funny, it won't get added"

i disagree and i made this thread

no offense but seriously dude
i dont want this into another posting competition thread or being locked for flaming.

Quote: "your spamming this thread making it less interesting"

I wasn't spamming, I was posting things I felt were valid and were relevant to this thread. If you feel they are not relevant, that's fine.
Quote: "either shutup or quote something decent."

A) There's no need to be hostile.
B) I was posting "something decent".
Quote: "yes i see that all the time am i meant to be rolling on the floor laughing or something"

Its not meant to explode your head from hilariousness, but its still good for a chuckle.
Quote: "... are you mentally well?"

Yes, I am. That post wasn't meant to be taken seriously.
Quote: "what is the point in you positing on the board"

I thought that was funny, so I posted it.
Quote: "hurting no, annoying yes"

I don't think it would be any more annoying than any of the "valid" posts anyone else makes, but you apparently disagree.
Quote: "i disagree and i made this thread"

That's fine. It is your thread, and I'll respect your wishes. I won't post any of my stuff anymore.
Quote: "i dont want this into another posting competition thread or being locked for flaming."

I really don't think that people posting their own quotes will get this thread locked.

The point I was trying to make was that just because someone posts their own quote, doesn't automatically make it funny.
Someone could have said the funniest thing ever, and everyone agreed it was hilarious when it was posted, but no one else thought to post it. Should they not post it just because it is their own quote. I understand that people can think they're funnier than they really are. But what you don't seem to be getting is that something does not lose any initial funniness it had just because the original poster posted it here.
Anyway, if you don't want anyone to post their own quotes here, that's your decision. I won't post any more quotes unless they are not mine.
Everybody happy now?

Also:
Quote: "... But you're not funny."

I can think of a large number of people who would greatly disagree with you. I may not have the best quotes ever on here, but I am one of the funniest people in any of my social groups.

Outscape, quit picking fights.

I'm sure, however, you feel you can treat other forum members so rudely because you are so proud you made a thread that has over 150 posts on the forums. Congratulations.

I just glanced through the list and didn't see this one:

Quote: "The majority of the population has below-average intelligence."

The irony in that one cracks me up every time.

You mean quote someone after they post, in a thread about quotes where the quote is only relevant (never mind funny) in the context of the quote thread?

I've got one from the FPSC Product Chat board... The post is quite ironic.

Here, this isn't mine, and I found it hilarious:

Well, granted it is not from this forum, but I still found this a bit funny (in the stupid way):
Quote: "What kind of protective gloves do I need to protect from 96% sulphuric acid? It seems that the standard one-use latex kind will not do?"

The funny part being that (in Sweden at least) it is nearly impossible to get hold of such pure sulphuric acid (it's illegal to posess, etc.), so you would think that if this guy has any around to work with, he should know how to protect himself... (and it isn't really enough with a pair of gloves, I would say).

I agree;
