ABSOFREAKINLUTELY!

After 4 weeks of waiting for the mail and about as long constructing the costume, I am loving it! Check out this video of my first time wearing it and trying to watch my favorite movie.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hx9Fgb-Sroc

What's even better is my new 'job' now is standing outside the Chinese theater taking pictures with people for tips. I make an average of 16 bucks an hour for standing around making my own hours even with full time school. Best investment I've ever made. Now that's what I call a stormtroopreneur

Do comment on the vid if you like it

[EDIT] More detailed picture minus correct helmet. (At the time I hadn't built my helmet yet so I was just using my vinyl one)

Yeah, that's cool if it's earning you money.
Have you earned your $500 back yet?

For the $500 you spent on that awesome gear, I have rated your video 5 awesome stars. $500 is only a lot if you don't absolutely love star wars(which i assume you do considering you bought a storm trooper costume)

Ah, reminds me of when we were in John Lewis a few weeks ago, we were just passing through when we saw Darth Vader and a few stormtroopers pinning down to the floor someone who could have been the assistant manager, with people taking pictures. I could only assume that John Lewis was own by DV and the assistant manager had been taking money from the tills.

I suppose it'd be kind of cool if people asked you to attack them for pictures.

No offense but wow, and not in a good way, it just looks like cheap plastic mate, its been vacume/? formed. In other words flex plastic heated then stretched over a mould.

For a little patience and about half that price you could have made your own/

sorry to be a bummer.

Wait missed that part, you make $16 taking pictures FTW! forget what i said stupid tourists lol.

I wish i made that, i wish i had a job lol.

Lazerus, have you ever seen Star Wars? That's exactly what Stormtrooper armor looks like... Cheap, vacuformed plastic!

Well, according to the other stormtroopers I've talked to, I got it extremely cheap. I'll go into detail on what I spent:
$269 for the kit (basically all the vac-formed pieces)
$100 shipping (yes, crazy shipping but still altogether a good price from what I hear)
About $150 in materials. That means building materials, spandex shirt and pants, my air conditioning system, voice amp system (which I've yet to put together), toy guy + spray paint, shoes.

And thanks to those who commented and rated! I appreciate it. I'm thinking of making more videos where I just go do stupid stuff in costume.

[EDIT] Did a quick ebay search, this it pretty much what I have right now assembled. [href]http://cgi.ebay.com/Stormtrooper-FX-Armor-fully-assembled-and-ready-to-wear_W0QQitemZ270429337109QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item3ef6d83615&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=65%3A12|66%3A4|39%3A1|72%3A1205|293%3A1|294%3A200[/href] I reckon should I ever want to sell it I could make an interesting profit.

Great... now I'm tempted to make a Transformers costume where I transform into... Megamaid!

Just kidding! I mean the DATH STAR!!!

In all seriousness, I think I'd have to be a real nutcase to try that, like these guys...

In the beginning there was nothing. There'll be nothing in the end...
