I dont know if its actualy possible, but a box for pasting links into which you can then follow would be good. People often post screenshots that have to be pasted into the address bar and I dont like doing it because it clutters it up with pointless adresses.

Thats not a bad idea, would get rid of half the conversations going on in the forums that could be done other ways. However, I dont know if space is an issue with that idea, if it is a big enough issue then it probably wont happen.

No PM's for the next version of Apollo, sorry. I am working on it as much as is possible given my other commitments, but it is coming along very well.

I know it's off topic, but Exeat, how do I pronounce your screen name? I haven't noticed the Projects section. I'll go look now.

My post was in response to the 'last 50 post' suggestion Cookyzue made.

I pronounce Exeat ex-seat but apparently the actual prenounciation is Ex-e-at.

I'd like a website disscusion thing istead of always having to put it on the general forum.

Yes but these are DarkBASIC forums, not website discussion forums. Just be happy that General Talk is here at all to put stuff like that in.

What about Raven's Challenge forum idea?(Credit to Raven) It should replace the 20-Line Challenge. Contact Raven about it, not me. He came up with it!

Maybe.. I spent the day getting the new system through the W3C XHTML 1.0 Validator - which was fun, but at least the new forum is now fully XHTML 1.0 compliant and still looks lovely in Firefox and IE.

How about an extension on the users online feature. Perhaps so we can see which users are browsing each forum. Even if it's just a number. Of course it'd be much better if we could see who was viewing a thread.

Sometimes you make a thread and you ask someone a question and just don't know if they'll respond or not so you end up waiting there.

being able to reply on a sticky thread for always and not just for 30 days after the last post would be nice

Any chance of fixing the problem of it deleting all the "\"'s out of your code snippits everytime you edit your post or is it just happening to me?

Hmm, I've never noticed that \ thing. Let me try.

Edit: Wow, you were right, happens with your normal text as well though and not just the snippet.

I have seen a lot of "Testing my sig" threads in the forums. This is annoying spam that could be prevented. Maybe on the Forums section of My Profile, you could put a place where you can see if your sig and avatar work? Like at the bottom of where you put in the URL for your pictures, where you type the sig, all that. Have a window that shows the layout of any post you make, which would incorporate sig text/images/links, avatar, name, everything you would see in a normal post you would make. This would get rid of the problem for good, along with reducing spam.

The \ thing is very annoying. I didn't know it worked with normal posts because I only use \ with directories in snippets. Good job I'm surprised no one has run into this before.

I dont know if this has been suggested, but the ability to delete your own posts. That way if you double post, or a thread gets stickied and you want to get rid of the pointless posts you have made, you can without having to ask mods.

Nah, I don't like that idea, people could be deleting posts that they think are useless (to them) but aren't to other people.

How about post combination? If you post back to back, they can be combined by the user or automatically so that there are no double posts. The posts would be combined, but separated by a thin line. It could count as one or two posts, bump the thread or not, anything Rich decides it could do. This way there are no double posts to get flamed about or to have to deal with. This feature may not be the best thing here, but at the least its an idea that has the possibility to be implemented.

I haven't had time to read all these posts but has anyone asked for a better search system? Or at least one that you can search stuff and when you get the results you can look at all of them and not have to retype the search everytime? When I open 1 thread there is only one way to get back to the list that I have found. Click back, click refresh, and then click retry very annoying.

how about, to restrict the amount of complete newbies for you a quiz type thing when you sign up with the account and you have to get so many right to view certain posts. eg. when you make a post you say if you want newbies etc to be able to view it etc...

Just to add to the confusion.
