If time permits, we were thinking of keeping the blogs going. It's a lot of work, but I think we can put it down to 'marketing' to justify the time spent on making them

I get angry when I use AppGameKit because of the little quirks that really annoy me, but when I read these blogs, they make me smile, knowing that some great things are coming our way ONE DAY...

The sweets are popular with young female teens and working women, so the app will appeal to those demographics with daily prizes, including games, extra messaging features and ideas for what to send loved ones."

It's candy... these women are taking relationship advice from a piece of candy?
The sweets are popular with me too and I'm neither working nor a woman.
"Females" is not a demographic.

Shh... you're pretty.

Females is a demographic. It tends to be subdivided by age, or is a subdivision of other demographics, but it's definitely a demographic in its own right.

Is this project still happening? I thought the blog updates were due by Monday night, I've really enjoyed reading them.

Not all I'm afraid... I'm still here in blighty

I'm plugging away at the friend system in Love Hearts and making another mini-game at the moment. I know Lee is coding day and night over there and at some point we are going to have to merge two very different projects... should be interesting.

I'm sure we'll be updated as soon as it is possible

I thought last week was week 5 since we're due for a 5th blog about week 5. Well, another week is very welcome.

To Lee's last video in the 5th blog post, the one about using FE at the airport:

Having AppGameKit installed on my netbook I can code wherever I want, without internet connection, without draining my phone's battery and without paying for the data connection. Having to pull up my phone, activating wifi hotspot and logging into the cloud just to code seems like a lot of extra steps. And with FE you can't code on the plane, with AppGameKit you can. So I don't think it is cool in any way that you can code at the airport.

Demo 2 is out! Click the image for more.

I almost agree. But what if your laptop was down and you only had your girlfriends netbook to work with

Although my wife could not stay away from facebook long enough for me to get any real work done

Let's look at one of the bright sides of FE, people who have macs (and Linux as well I guess) can now program in AppGameKit BASIC...and I can do it at the airport.

You're assuming you have your laptop with you, and it's x86 / x64 based. There are many scenarios under which you have internet access but no AppGameKit access.

The FTP username/password does not work to try the app out. Congrats Lee and TGC team for getting this app done in such a short window.

Well done on finishing guys! Looks like a superb app and I really enjoyed the 6 part blog. I'm also up for a game of chess.

I love this quote on Intel's blog:
Quote: "At this point in the contest, I think we can all agree that Lee is some kind of hybrid man/robot programming machine. "

I forgot to keep track of this. It was a well fought battle and I know how it feels to lose by 1%. You guys put in valiant effort and should be proud. You'll smash it next time.

Has anyone gotten further guidance on this part of the contest rules:

http://www.codeproject.com/script/Awards/Conditions.aspx?cid=598

Ownership and Publicity: Neither CodeProject nor Intel claim ownership of your submission to the contest (please see the "Ownership" item in CodeProject Contributors Agreement); but by submitting an entry, you grant CodeProject, its affiliated companies and necessary sub-licensees a worldwide, perpetual, royalty-free, irrevocable, non-exclusive, fully assignable and transferable right and license, to edit, adapt, translate, reformat your Work, to post your Work (eg. publish, display, perform, digitally perform) anywhere on our Site, to do what CodeProject feels it needs to do to manage and update the Site, to make and maintain back-up and archival copies, and to make your Work available to End Users in accordance with this Agreement and the specific EULA that you specify.

So they don't claim ownership .. but they claim royalty-free irrevocable, non-exclusive, fully assignable and transferable license .. to blah blah you can see the rest.

Most of that just sounds like promotional stuff; and I don't see the word 'sell' in there; so I just want to know again if anyone got further guidance is this meant to be taking all the profits from the sale of the app?

Erebusman, in the end it all boils down to, that they can make videos and take snapshot of your app in action, and use it in Intel adverts.
