looks like a rat...but theres obviously one 'THE 3D modeller' and thats Chuck Norris, you know, he point his finger at a German plane and said bang and it shot down...man that Chuck Norris is the best at everything.

I created them using biped in 3dsmax. I've just used default foot step walk cycle to start with and then I adjusted it so it looked more realistic and also ajusted his arms and hands, like he's holding a rifle. The blue rifle is defined as a bone btw, not model

Hi to all

I am a newbie on this forum and to the game creators concept. I am however a pretty useful 3d artist working in the architectural visualisation field.

Always been into the idea of game creation and I think I'm gonna give a first person shooter a go (using all my own graphics of course).

This stuff is of course hi poly and rendered using third party rendering software, but my main application is max. Going to need to do some serious character modelling work to get my self up to speed, but I hope to be able to create some good environments.

Anyone that can give me some details on the lighting options available in FPS creator would be much appreciated.

@Musashi. It was once said that Chuck Norris single handedly Defeated the entire german Army in the Second World War only using a small twig.

@Surreal Chris... Nice Guitar.. Bit bumpy though.

@Luciftian............Nice... Very Very Nice! And welcome to The Forums!

Looks great...but he reminds me of Eddie Izzard...Who is a comedian who was beaten up in Cambridge because people thought he was gay...In other words, a little too much lipstick

Cool, I'll probaly hound those forums as I get completely ignore over at CGtalk.

I love the style you go for, sometimes i like to go for the anime look, but I don't know what sort of things to look when seeing what I like, thus a lack of anime images from me, what sort of place to you dig up for your references. I'm sure I should search for types of anime, but I don't know the names of them except for the kind everybody has heard of, but searching 'hentai' in google isn't something I am going to do

Try this: http://www.cerberusproject.com/
They're real, but they're good basis for representing anime in 3d...

Just made a simple Medieval House that's game-ready. Problem is, I'm not sure how to get it to a proper DarkBasic supported model so I can sell it. ($10 to anyone who's interested and free to the first person that posts here with a good pipeline out of MS3D to DBPro)

P.S. This is what the alphabet would look like if Q and R were eliminated.

TogaMario. If you mean Milkshape you should be able to find an export option under the file menu that will allow you to export the model to a .X format which should be perfect in DBP. At least that's how I remember it when I used the demo a year back...

Send me your e-mail address, and I'll fling a .X file your way Thanks. Let me know if it works fine.
