Sorry, I didn't see that there was a new messege. I'm finishing up the texture on the answering machine as I speak. The design of the machine is my own. I hope you all like it; I'll toss up a finished group shot soon, then it's just bundeling everything up and "shipping" it out.

OK, I'm satisfied with this model now. Answering Machine:

Other than the re-texture for the Double File Holder, that's gonna wrap up our last free pack.

The buttons and the light are all modeled geometry, for a little extra detail.

Thanks; I couldn't find a digital font, so I had to construct those numbers from scratch.

Here's the finale render of the pack. All textures are correct, and everything is to scale in this render.

The background MUST be RGB 0,0,0

ALSO:
check the corner pixels,if one of them aint RPG 0,0,0 then the whole thing wont be transperant.

wrong page!

Keith... I hate to break it to you, but your answering machine really reminds me of Simone Says hand held game... Otherwise, great work! And now you can sticky your own threads!

That's exactly what I was thinking when I made it.

LOL, yeah; after making it, I actually thought it looked more like a timer for a bomb. Oh well, it's got multiple uses now. I also didn't want to put a drop shadow around the light (to simulate a glow) becasue somw game engines can use shaders to place the light there (since my stuff is always put out in general format as well).

Yep, as soon as I get all the pieces together, I'll hand it off to JOOM, and he makes it nice and tidy. No harm in asking.

I tried a little something different this time. I did the texture maps on a 512x512 UV Map, instead of a 1024x1024 Map and then resizing it to 512x512; it seems to retain the texture quality better that way. The stapler is still in 1024x1024 though.

lol, overkill for such a small thing dont you think?

maybe 128 or 256 would be better, the camera wont ever get close enough to the stapler to see extreme detail

Yep, it's overkill, but I didn't want the texture to degrade by downsizing it; I figured the user could reduce it if they wanted anyways.

Congratulations on winning the Psionic contest, by the way. I'm going to have to grab that texturing book myself; how is it (does it use PS techniques, primarily)?
