FPSC Classic Product Chat / How wouls people find my idea about a free FPSC toolkit?

my idea for now in first release is:

-FPSC Segments
-FPSC entity's(Some pre-sets and offcourse import)

Later on:
-FPSC Decals
-FPSC Signs
-FPSC Characters?(This one is a mystery to myself...)

for now im on 35% of FPSC segments,but i just wanted to know if anyone would even bother a toolkit like this.

And as the topic title states,im not gonna charge for it

Please respond because ifno-one gives anything about this project ill be dumping it in my trashcan ...

UPDATE:

i finaly fixed a bug my scale dude shows up...

however why do i put a scale dude in the FPSC segments???

oh well,i now also know the right position for the camera

finaly i got something worth to show,now heres a screeny attached of the menu(Note that the MouseX and MouseY are only there for Debugging purposes...i needed that for the buttons)

yeah it would be great but as long as its good i dont care about the graphics i could not script model or Graphic thingy for my life

Hmmm my idea sound inposibble but how about characters are made like the sims 2 you could have modern day and ww2 and scifi textures and a row of differt animations.

I just think after the Riker deal most people have the idea that till you've got something to show....no read need for this kinda post. I mean saying this is what you'd like to do is nice and all but we've all seen it before. And really all these items you talk about are out there......so unless you had some "all encompasing" thing to show people it's hardly worth the time to post. I'm not downing your vision but.....well......it just dosen't matter that much really.

Only reason I'm posting is im board waiting on the transfer of files to other parts of the network so I can reformat this computer. I know the TGC tools are a bit sloppy and great if you can make better ones. It's just hard to post when this stuffs out there already cloging up our already blotted hard drives( heh kidding cause its taking forever to get the 70+gig of info I wanna save off this bad puppy)

You really missed the point. The point being because of threads like riker 9 no one cares about any product till they can see screen shots or something. My 2 post are refering more to

i made 2 shots,because there isnt more to show yet.

its darn WIP...

im now de-bugging some stuff and then im adding Save to the Floor part.

OK...after that ill be building up something else but hey,i dont have to stick at this all day

I think you would of been better with the decal one.

There are already program's that do segments and entity's and like locrian said "I'm not downing your vision but.....well......it just dosen't matter that much really".

But decals would be given people something a bit diffrent i say.

dude, why don't you just use signs2? It's free and pretty much like what you are trying to do.

my application imports them.it doesnt make them...

This will be able to import characters with animation numbers you can change in the viewer,can signs do so? not realy.Does signs imports entity's?No.

so whats your point?

Darn, Accel you beat me to everything lol

I was also going to make a toolkit like this, but I don't really have the time, so it's nice that your making one. I didn't plan characters though, but I did plan entities, weapons ect and it would include Decal Maker (which I've already made, see sig). I'll send you some code from Decal Maker if you want, just e-mail me if your interested (syntax is Dark Basic Proffesional)

I think its good pratice for you to do a program like this and wish you all the luck like i said early on.


Dont get me wrong i just feel the decal would be of more use to the forum at this point but keep up with the work.
