Nice.

I recognize most of them as being Jonathan Fletcher weapons.

Another great model pack!

The new segments are a brick wall, desert earth, general ceiling, green lobby, grunge bathroom, grunge brick, grunge stucco, orange wall, and sci-fi wall. I bought this pack last night. The grunge sections are especially nice. All of the weapons look and sound amazing. For me, this is the most valuable model pack of them all.

It's not fair. I didn't want to break out the C/C again so soon. Oh well.... it's only money.

Very impressive images, but the video (youtube) won't play. I'm thinking I won't have to buy any more weapons for a long time and I love Jons' grungy segments.

Great pack... and it's mine.

Thanks to Jon and TGC.

EDIT: Mine stops at 2 sec's.

I had the little red bar filled all the way out, but it only played to 9 seconds. I re-opened it in a separate window, and it was the same.

Jon, you know your melee weapons, did you add the start, fire and end lines to the gunspec? Because if you didnt, the attack wont feel right, so if you havent, it would be an easy update.

I mean have you added the extra lines that make the animation hit on cue?

Butter fingers told me how, but I cant say I remember the correct spellings for them.

--

**EDIT**

Hmmm, so you have those lines for the melee weapons?

do you mean "preparing" for the hit? like the beggining, then the hit at a certain frame?

if so, i think that has been incorporated, but i never really noticed, when i was testing it always seemed to hit on cue because the speed was pretty fast

The video finally played for me. Great work.

A while back I asked for hands as a weapon on the Feature Creep board. This was a nice surprise. I like the idea of starting the player out with hands/knife/bat (the bat is great, good thinking with the nail... really sick) and then letting him find more advanced weapons. Just a little more option for us all.

Best.

Hey I found a glitch with the pack... if your blazing away with a scoped gun unscoped and when you scope quickly the muzzleflash "freezes" on your screen until you unscope and shoot again.
EDIT: Might be FPSC, not the pack.. But check it out.

The weapons are cool, the reload animations are pretty good, but, the sounds really suck

Yeah, i didn't like the sounds, but hey, it's not my fault i'm used to have in hand real weapon firing sounds

But i'm impressed with the animations (i still can't animate really well, i take ages to make simple weapon animations, but modeling is easy, now for me).

My love is seperated in 2 parts, 1 of them is 3ds Max 7, the other; FPSC.

First off I want to say some real nice weapons. A great expansion to FPSC. I'm wondering if theres any plans to release the animations to those that buy the pack. As good as the weapons are, and I could surely have use for extra segments and sounds even for that price, to me the hands reminds me of Chris Elliot's hand in 'Scary Movie 2'http://www.cineclub.de/images/2001/scary_movie_4.jpg. I'm not raggin on the work cause thats a lot of work to get all those models and animations in. And the gun animations look fine to me(minus the hands). I'd just like to see the animations released so people that can tweak things they see fit, kinda like the .bip files TGC and Bond release.

Just wondering and this is surely no offence to Jon or his work. I'm sure he sees the same things I do, but so much work had been done before his jump in modeling skills it wasn't time effective to go back on a nearly completed pack. One way or another the pack is well worth the money if only for the sounds. Not sure if anyone has priced custom sounds from people but their prices certainly aren't for indie game makers.

Please note that we just this moment updated Model Pack 5. If you have already downloaded it, please download it again. This new version fixes a problem found in multiplayer games.

*Ca-ching!*

Actually, not sure if a virtual credit transfer makes a noise. But it ought to.

Am waiting patiently for download approval, really looking forward to this pack. Looks like fantastic work, hope there's more packs planned for the future, Jon.

Why do the melee weapons sound like guns when you pick them up on the video? Is there a reason for this?

somewhere in the FPSC engine, when the code for picking up the entity is executed, it plays that sound, so i believe it is out of my power to change it

FPSC doesnt have an option to change the fps speed of weapons, you would have to reanimate them slower.

If you select Hands 5 for the starting weapon of the player, nothing appears on the screen... it still makes the attack noises if you click the mouse... Is this just on my computer or has anyone else noticed this?

Can't speed be slowed using the "keyframe ratio"?

In previous testing, it's worked for me with speeding things up but I haven't tried it for slowing things down. The speed change would affect all animations though and animation ranges and sound fx trigger frames would need to be adjusted accordingly.

@Thraxas,

Greetings. Yes, I had this problem, too. After taking a peek, I discovered that the hand_tex.jpg, in the fists5 folder was only a 16x16 black image.

I replaced it with hand_tex.jpg, from another folder, and it works great ingame, now. Will do a custom texture in the future here.

Hope this helps in your endeavors.

Thanks,

Seth Black
