All designed and created by Simon Benge, TGC's lead artist.

The title caught my attention, to bad it's another weapons pack. But, I guess many people will be happy with it.

Your kidding, right? We have First Person Shooter Creator, and this is only the second addon that comes with weapons!

I'm thrilled! Do they have hands or are they meant to be 'compatible' with the orignal weapons?

cool! you told me of this a while back though i didnt know the specific weapons, all sounds cool, im looking forward to seeing them, especially the G3.

i agree with Airslide, this is a FPS where the first thing you see on the screen, and ultimately the closest is the weapon, i have found in a very recent model, that the hud can often define the game, characters are great but they dont fuel gameplay as much as weapons in an FPS.

Rick, the screenshot of X10 with the handgun, is that part of this pack or 'X10 stock'?

also, is the engine update you mentioned, to do with dual wielding? this would be great for developers

Nope.... I rather have more things to shoot at, then have the things to shoot with.

I was hoping Model Pack 6 would have been a character pack again, those are outnumbered by far. I'd love to have see a cool robot/creature pack or so far more then any weapons.

I'd bet you that one is the suppressed GLOCK from this new pack, though of course, I cannot be sure.

I would also like to see some kind of creature pack, it seems like every man and his dog are creating weapons!

Couldn't agree more But.... I've asked my dog to create me some and she just looked at me, guess I didn't train her well enough. In the end I ended up doing it myself, wasn't as though as I thought it would be.

That's why I'm a bit dissappointed that the next official pack is another weapon pack, there are so many floating around already.

TGC has put out five model packs and only one of them has been a weapon pack.
TGC probably knows what the FPSC members want in their model packs and are making them accordingly.
While opinions vary (and I would like to see the creatures/
monsters model pack as well) most of our forum members probably do want weapons.
We can only hope that TGC has gotten Jon and Bond to work on the fantasy pack together for a future model pack.
I am not complaining. You can never have too many guns.

Does both guns have to be the same or can you use different ones like on Golden Eye Rogue Agent?

Weapon pack = friggin awesome

I own all of the model packs and almost wet myself when I saw this post. I'll get it as soon as it comes out.

Just an idea, I think having another character pack would be a good idea. However, every character released so far is basically humanoid. There is so much more shapes and varieties to enemies that haven't been exploited yet. I know these other types of characters would probably not fit the skeleton thing in character shop, so it would be hard. regardless, FPSC needs some weird looking robots, grotesque aliens, and large enemies to use as bosses and stuff.

No harsh criticism please, it's just an idea.

to go with Ben and Fred...I would echo too...Too many guns already!!

I know its a shooter game we are developing, but how many guns do you need per game?? I think a good game can be made with maybe 6-8 different guns (SMG, pistol, rev, shotty, RL, 1-2 sci fi guns etc) But any good shooter game would need atleast 20-30 characters, lots and lots and lots of entities!!!

But again, this is coming from a person who doesnt own a single model pack yet, so maybe its not a valid point huh?

This is kewl another pack to put on my christmas list. I like the fact that the packs are rolling out at a descent rate even though a sci-fi or midevil weapon pack is more in demand right now still weapons are weapons and I say you can never have to many of them...

Character models I see are the next biggest demand especialy monster's for fantasy games and hmmm another good idea is team like character models say 4 of the same well slightly the same models slightly different just so players can distinguish themselfs... but that would only be uselfull when they get the multiplayer up to par...

Hmmm also another great idea would be to have building packs, premade houses, buildings, sheds, toll booths, bridges, stores, gas stations, resturants, parking lots, shopping malls etc etc make sure you can walk around in them ofcourse and set like some of the minor houses with an easy texturemap so it would be easy for the guys buying these to make many house on there maps with low poly house models.

Anyways just a few thoughts to put out there....

Have you downloaded your CLiPs today.

Just wonder if one buys this pack will it work in the new FPSC when it comes out? or will any of them work with the new one?

I probably wouldn't have been as excited about this pack if it wasn't for this sentence. I'll wait to get it though as the next pack I'm going to buy is 4...

Thanks Rick for the heads up.
And, thanks Simon for the new models.
I am sure they are great even before I see the screenshots. (I like your models)

@Everyone who says enough guns
Weapons were what everyone was screaming for back in the old threads that asked us what we (the community) wanted. So, this is an effort on TGC's part to fill that need.

First on the list of requests were the modern items that the first packs addressed.
Then people were screaming for more characters (can never have too many), which Model pack 4 addressed.
Then, there were requests for more weapons, which the latest packs are addressing.

I thank you (TGC) for listening to the users desires and taking action to fulfill those needs.

I can't wait for the future packs that will address the other things on our wish lists. (melee)

Sorry but I saw the opportunity to get that melee request of mine in again.

Anyway thanks again for keeping these packs coming as frequent as they have been.
Your hard work is greatly appreciated.

I hope the weapons have good sounds

If they don't, i guess i have to ask my uncle to record glock, mac and rem sounds (i have the other real weapon record sounds).

Keep them comming, cuz i simply *censured* at animating weapons. (i've managed to animated pretty well some humanoids... but weapons... [mod edit]... still need lots of work).

Mod note:No swearing.

My love is seperated in 2 parts, 1 of them is 3ds Max 7, the other; FPSC.

Judging by most of the comments so far, more weapons is what we don't want - I think that another modern weapons pack is a total waste of time and rather boring. Have TGC got no imagination? They could at least make some new melee weapons!

Hehe, like Conjured said this community is very fickle...eight months ago every other post was "We need civilians!" or "We need more modern day characters!"

Then, leading up to the release of Model Pack 5, all you had to do was show a picture of a gun with hands on it, and the entire community collectively peed it's pants with excitement.

I'm sure this new pack will be excellent and popular, can't wait to see some pics. You can never have too much of anything when it comes to game assets.

lol, indeed.

people dont know what they want, untill they have got it.

though im sure weapons will still be popular, i also want to see modern/scifi creatures (Doom3), it was my second choice after the fantasy model pack. hence the reason why i was going to make that before the "co-operation"

It just that releasing 2 weapon packs right after one another seems not to be such a good choice.

Also when TGC asked what we wanted to see in model packs, characters we're most peoples choice. We all know there's a huge character void, not may people can do those. But lot's of people seem to be able to create weapons (especially modern ones).

Imo, TGC should fill the gaps not add to the abundance

AWSOME! Well, I guess my M79 ain't needed anymore (Not that it was very good)

What's interesting is that I had been planning to make/find some of those models for my game, then make them FPSC ready, but it looks like I'll just use this

Errant,
I can't post my response to that or I'd have to ban myself.
Please keep on with your project.

Simon,
These are some uber cool guns.

Airslide,
I still want your M79 and I think that people abandoning their projects is a mistake.
The more stuff we can get means a wider variety of options for our games.
I think I want Model Pack 6 for Christmas.

Thats my favourite too.
The screenshots don't do this pack justice, wait till you see the animations. Hopefully the sounds will be done soon and I'll get a short demo up on YouTube.
