This next competition revolves around wood. Anything that can be made out of wood is what you are to model. Toys, chairs, desks, scaffolds, mannequins, shoes, etc. use your imagination!

No polygon limits, textures not required but would be very helpful.

We'll also be welcoming David Gervais to the judging panel of BiggAdd and myself(In fact, David also made the nice banner and came up with this competition!).

Alright, break out your saws and hammers...Go!

I believe a sail boat would be okay with windows and a sail. The judging will be done primarily based on the geometry of the wood work though since this competition is based on wood. I have seen many wooden model ships though, so you could also consider that option.

Only one entry per person. But you can do several WiP's and when the deadline comes choose you favorite and post it in the entry thread.

I might add feet, though I like the design as it is. I'm working on a color scheme now, then off to modeling. Think I'll go high poly for this one. Make a nice scene render.

Wood dragon carving I hacked out today, amazing how low-poly models tend to look like rough carving?

Ok, so it's not wood yet...


Still have to pose it properly, find a decent wood texture and learn how to render in Maya.

The models can be as simple or complex as you want. There is no minimum or maximum poly count for this contest.

I dabble in carving aswell, I made a intrcute war bow. then a friend tried to shoot it drunk, got one hell on a nasty wound from the backlash when it snapped. lol

am taking it easy so i probly wont enter lol/

Finished modeling my tiki statue and uv mapping it. Next onto texturing, then setting up a nice little scene.
