It's a 250 GB and a 1 TB drive. Actually totals about 1164 GB. The reason that number is so much lower is that on their labels, hard drive manufacturers treat one kilobyte as 1000 bytes, and so on. Software treats each kilobyte as 1024 bytes and so on, making the numbers appear lower.
Adding up the total capacity of each drive gave me a total of 1,250,017,480,704 bytes.
1,250,017,480,704 / 1000 ^ 3 = 1250
1,250,017,480,704 / 1024 ^ 3 = 1164
