Intel Core 2 Duo 2.0ghz
4GB RAM (Used to read 3GB ram as 1gb is reserves for things like shared graphics, however, now it reads 2GB, so I've lost a gig of RAM, am going to take it to the shop when I've got the money to replace it)
nVidia Geforce 9500M GS 512mb
250gb HDD
RealTek HD Sound (terrible sound card IMO )

Windows Vista Home Premium 32bit (1st Partition)
Windows 7 Release Candidate (2nd Partion, it's valid until June, so I still have time to spare until getting the released version)

It's a 250 GB and a 1 TB drive. Actually totals about 1164 GB. The reason that number is so much lower is that on their labels, hard drive manufacturers treat one kilobyte as 1000 bytes, and so on. Software treats each kilobyte as 1024 bytes and so on, making the numbers appear lower.

Adding up the total capacity of each drive gave me a total of 1,250,017,480,704 bytes.

1,250,017,480,704 / 1000 ^ 3 = 1250
1,250,017,480,704 / 1024 ^ 3 = 1164

Whoever did that needs to get a sense of humor / re-read what was written. Way too extreme an action for that joke

EDIT: Unless the mod edit removed something else from the post which was not funny, in which case accept my apologies

It might be a funny joke to share between people that you know, but I fail to see the funny side when its a comment passed at somebody's wife, that they have never met.

I think the wrong smiley was used, but if you actually read it, Diggsey is taking "can't get her off of it" literally (i.e. to make a joke out of it). Again, it's easy to misinterpret because of the smiley used, but it's pretty obvious that he was not being malicious

Probably easily misread. It played on the words rather than passing an insult. It was a language joke rather than a wife joked. So I laughed.

Though arguably, it could then just as easily be read as an insult by the person it was directed at.

Oh, I read it as, she's large because she spends her entire time on the laptop. Not the literal sense of you can't get her off it.

My bad.

Although I think my point still stands, as I think Daniel Wright did take offence.

I've removed the slap Diggsey.

Actually I went from the reaction from Daniel Wright's response to Diggsey's post.

Easy mistake. We're all human, well with the exception of me, obviously I'm perfect in every way and thus you're all beneath me, but that's beside the point.

Though I hope in understanding the joke DW isn't offended? If he still is, then I think DW and Diggsey can probably suss it out between each other, if Diggsey realised his joke offended somebody, I'm sure he'd apologise.

You're just stirring up nothing now. Diggsey's joke was a play on words. He doesn't know your wife, he isn't directly referring to her, nor is the joke anything to do with weight at all (that play on words could work on anyone regardless of weight)

Actually you're the one who is "stirring" things up, if Daniel was offended, then that is nothing to do with you.
