Lol, I'm sorry. Thats too funny.

The text R.I.P. looks way too-typed. Add noise, with some low opacity, and visit http://www.dafont.com , and download a font that well-suites that style. I'M BUYIN.

I am also very fickle, first I dont want it, now I want it. Eh..Oh well.

...But that's no Glock. Looks like a Daisy 1700 BB gun to me. The wierd backstrap and CO2 screws are dead givaways.

Anyways, best wishes with your pack, A4.

A4, While I appreciate the work you've put into the pack and I do realize that this represents something you're proud of and think is worth selling, I have to be completely honest in giving you my opinion.

I realize that you also might not want any Critiscism, and that's fine, but this is not doen in an effort to bag on your work, merely in an attempt to help you reach your full potential.

I have to honestly say that the textures , not only of the models , but also the segments are really not up to a commercial standard.
They look like cut and pasted imagemaps simply slapped onto a UVW frame.
If you take a look at the other modelpacks available, you'll soon notice that what makes a model is not the actual geometrey , but the textures and this is the area which saves a model from being mediocre or condems it to be terrible.
Your one saving grace would be the price point and the fact that some ses, satisfied with the current quality would purchase your pack as an alternative to one of the more expensive packs.
I would however strongly suggest that you revisit the texturing portion of the models in an effort to improve.

FLAME ON!!!

We can't buy guns in England. Sucks, doesn't it?

After reading every post on this thread for no good reason, I feel obligated to express my opinion. I must be objective and state what I see, so please don't take offense. The textures, in many aspects, need work. Unfortunately that's a kind way of putting it.
Blurring the edges around the fleshy bits on the she-zombie helped, but it still looks unnatural. If theres one thing I've learned, it's that you need to model the flesh; embed it if you will, into the zombie/injured aristocrat, lawyer, or hated person of choice. A flat texture;certainly one with no bumpmapping, just doesn't cut it. Atleast not for me. The gangster guy looks better, despite a somewhat chewed up face.
I would like to see more of what your pack has to offer, if only to confirm your statement that there are 10 character models.
That RIP grave is bad. The model is unreasonably low poly with an equally bad text, bloodstain and surface to match. I could make that. Except perhaps the bloody handprint, which suffers the same cut-and-paste issue much of this content has.
Overall, the segments look flat. the one in the pic before the edited zombie looks good. If the others can match up to that, you should have some coherent room segments. But not good enough to make me spare three quid, petty as that may sound. I don't think your bad at modelling or texturing, I just think your not complementing it with the right features, like bumbmaps for the textures, and custom meshes for the segments. And then there's all the above.

Regards,
Tom

it does...
$5 for 10 charachters, some entities and a truck load of segments is actually a really great deal.

EDIT: just saw that subliminal messaging in the screeny in your first post A4.

No it doesn't suck. With the recent increase of youth gun crime, legalizing firearms will make the situation worse. I like guns (like most people on this forum) but the fact of the matter still stands.

Anyway, A4 PrOdUcTiOnZ those are some safe looking models you got there mate

Sorry to say it, but this pack doesn't do it for me. Without trying to sound rude, you need to work on the realism of the textures. Sure, the humans have your actual face on it, but to go from photographed textures to lets say, the 'crocodile room' just looks wrong. None of the work seems to flow together, I'd look into applying some overlays to your textures of a certain colour, to atleast make it look like there is some kind of similar style.

I'd also change the model textures to have a more default face, because, lets just say, I'm not wanting to spend money to advertise you.

The blood also looks very unrealisted. If I was to use those models in a horror game, you'd see the blood glowing in the dark. It's very low quality texture wise, and I think it lets down the quality of the model.

Paul

The First room is very impressive. If you were to get sign, you could use a different texture for the ceiling, As i dont think the cave one goes together too well.. If I were you, i'd check out this website;

http://www.good-tutorials.com

If you look to the left, it has a section called "textures", and provides tutorials for Photoshop.

hi, A4 PrOdUcTiOnZ

i don't know what you do for a living but i know that my boss would fire me if he found online pictures of me where i pose with guns and even point them at him. and i would have troubles finding another regular job because my new boss would also have a look at a4productionz.com. but of course ny is not switzerland.

i think it's not a good idea when the creators of fps-games pose with real guns and show that they also like to blow people's heads of in the real world. i know that you don't wanna do this but for the people that connect fps-games with real-world tragedies it's just another proof for their theories.

I must say, i do agree with you Zilla, but I decided not to say anything as it may provoke a political argument/banter, which is not whats wanted here. If it's not allowed, it wouldve been blocked.

Anyway, on topic.
The kitchen floor looks very cool, except the wall looks very flat and texture-less. I will sometimes base textures on wallpapers in my house, but when they come up in FPSC, theyre just not the same since its just a game!
I would have a look on google for some reference images.

I dont think it has to do with his game, i think it has to do with his music. for some reason everyone in the hip hop industry sees a need to act like they're from the ghetto and that they participate in illegal activities.

Even though i dont agree with his picture, its technically allowed, so it will have to stay for now, but i think this thread needs to get back on topic.

In case anybody is wondering due to feedback from quite a few forum members both on these forums and through e-mail correspondance I have removed the images of A4 sticking the gun down the front of his pants and pointing at the screen.
This is irresponsible use of firearms and maybe you should take a gun safety course...I am sure one of the first things they will teach you is not to stick a gun in the front of your pants.
I do hope one none of our forum members follow your example.
Both images are offensive and violate the AUP.
Please use some common sense when you post here.
The safety of the forum members around here is my main concern.

We fred I geuss your right about not posting those types of pics here. But then why make guns in games??? Also I'm keeping a rap image from NJ so that dosn't help much. And about the saftey part I am 1000% safe being I have 2 kids of my own. And for the people who don't know how A4 PrOdUcTionZ got its name... Well for one is a family business own by me and my wife, and will be pasted down to our kids when they are older. Two my name is Adam, my wifes name is April, my sons name is Adam, And My daughters name is Anna, Three we make and produce things. So but it together 4 Family members all A's A4 PrOducTiOnZ And i'm not worried anyways about these forums being I have my own + a chatroom witch TGC does not. I'm not mad at you fred that you took my pics down i'm just gonna make a statement I geuss TGC shouldn't make games with guns lol good luck with sales TGC without guns in your games. Kind Regards A4 PrOdUcTiOnZ

@a4

there is a difference between game or digital media and photo's or photorealistic media.

you didnt post a picture of your game charecter with a gun down his pants, you posted a pic of you with a gun down your pants.

life isnt a video game, and you should know that by now, especially if you have kids.

and by the way, you dont need a gun to uphold your "rap image", all you need is to make good music.

i run a recording studio, and when i see people acting hard, i turn them down. music and crime are 2 sepearte things, and people need to realize that if they want to improve they're music and actually get somewhere.

[off topic]

Also, maybe try and take off the echo, and double up your voice on the track, that way it still sounds full but understandable at the same time.
