DC; that's far more professional looking. What about adding a brushed metal effect to the background?

@the ultimate gamer: Thanks, glad you finally got the email. I'm going to talk to FastBurst about working out either a payment plan, a student discount or both. We'll get you a copy somehow.

@dark coder: Wow! That does look slick! Where did you get the phoenix image?

Glad you all like it

Like this?

Though I'm not a fan of having too much on an image(in the form of filters(though this didn't require a filter))

I found it on this site: http://www.phoenix-godliman.com/

v1.1.0.20 Pre-Release Update

Although the logo design is still not final, here's a screenshot from the current state of v1.1.0.20.

The folder and game title methods have been restructured to make more sense, ie. you now enter the game executable name (as in FPSC) to create the folder name. Also, if you select FPSC as the game platform, the FPSC icon appears allowing you to launch the program from within Phoenix.

NOTE: The FPSCreator icon is being used with permission from TGC.

Yep, like that DC (maybe a wee bit lighter on the brush filter, but that looks good).

I wish you HAD made that DC, so I could buy it from you. But we'll have to go with the one we have for now. I haven't talked to FastBurst today to see what he thinks though.

Very nice logo DarkCorder however us being able to use it maybe an issue of infringing on copyrights from the place you took the logo from.

Other than that it looks great.

Everyone else. We have been developing the Web App and I believe it is ready for distribution now. So you can get a copy of it and give it a try. However it will not work with your Current version of PGPS to validate against your own demo's.

That maybe something we will be exploring it the future.

Update: 15 Aug 07 | v1.1.0.20 Pre-Release Info

These flash videos show the new features of PGPS v1.1.0.20 in action. The first video demonstrates the ease of use on a fresh install. The second video demonstrates the use of PGPS project files and how much time is saved when re-processing a game. The last video is pretty much the same as the second, however there is no narration; just a game being processed from start to finish in 48 seconds. EDIT: Added a check to see if the project was saved before exiting, so the third video was updated. Total time for the third video is 52 seconds.

v20 #1: 9MB

V20 #2: 3MB

v20 #3: 2.5MB

The release will be within a day or two, once the full editions are updated.

v1.1.0.20 Screenshot (Options Setup)

Here's a screenshot of the Options Setup with enhanced features for video and audio preview, project file saving, installer launching confirmation, etc.

Every time I make the improvements to the Standard Edition, I have to go back and get the other editions up to speed. I still plan to release this free edition on the 17th of August.

@crispex: I'm going to send you a Beta of v20 Pro for testing. When we release it for sale, I'll give you the web login for online registrations. Okay dude? (you're a pushy little fellow, aren't you. Just kidding. )

@ crispex - make sure for the web app you send me all the bugs please.

Some things to know that are required for the web app if you are installing the trial version of the web app on your own machine.

Zend Encoder must be installed. Usually already is on most Web Hosts.
Regisrter Globals ON
PHP 4.1 or higher
MySQL Database

Now if you are having problems on the web app on our site. make sure you are using IE 6.0 or 7.0

@FastBurst: cripex is using the web app on our server. The menu drop-downs don't work well in IE6 or below.

DarkFact, still having problems with the errors on my game, you know the custom error you make in PGP? Well, I keep getting that, then I can't escape from the game, then when I Ctrl Alt Delete it, it leaves the screen black, and then I have to press the Windows Logo key to view my start menu, to be honost, I don't think it's ready for release yet.

Yeah, you must have made it without a splash video. Easy fix on my end, you can use the attached wmv if you need a splash video until I finish testing v20.

Thanks.

The current version is 1.1.0.19. The new 1.1.0.20 will be released probably tomorrow. This update is taking longer because I decided to throw in the menu maker that I promised back in April. Thanks goodness I had already started on this code because it's going to take a while!

It's just part of a demo level I made for Phoenix testing. If I ever get time to make games again, these are props and textures made for DarkFaction II.

Nice, crispex. You're working hard to be a part of this. We'll work with you and do what we can to include you. To answer your questions from the Phoenix Sentry forum PM, I use Visual Studio Enterprise 2005 (vb.net).

I started out with VB5 in August 2006 when I was trying to build a menu screen for DarkFaction. Then I made some security software using VB6 for the military. Then I decided to make Phoenix and bought VS2005. So, overall, I've been programming off/on for about a year.

What did it do? I mean, yeah, security software generally keeps stuff secure, but what does it do?
