Psionic 3d, yeah he's awsome, although it doesn't really help me much for tecturing UVMaps for weapons, only helps for comcepts

Just to give you a small update on how the pack is going, this is what we have so far.
M4A1 Colt - Modelled not textured
Sig-Saur - Modelled not textured
Lowpoly Helcopter - Modelled not textured
Spas12 - - Modelled not textured
Deagle - Modelled not textured
Bullpup - Modelled not textured
Mac10 - Modelled not textured

As you can see we have seven of the 18 or so weapons that will be in the weapon modellpack, I think that when I get everything modelled and textured and package it I will be selling this for a small ammount, mostly because I need some founds to go with the MMO I'm making and because I think that I will work really hard on this and I should deserve somehing atleast

you really need some textures on these, someone might buy them untextured but if you spend a bit of time texturing your more likely to get a sale. (and then I'd only be asking for a couple o' $ at the most).

Penfold if you would look back into the first page of the thread you will see that I have numerous times promised to texture these, and you will also see that I have said that modell all the guns first and THEN I texture

And I wasn't thinking of selling this for more than $10 the price this is probably gonna cost is $4-6 and I think that's a somewhat of a bargain for 18 textured weapons

I've seen some DVD's on it for sale in 3D world magazine, and I think there might be a book on amazon. You'll have to google or summat I thinks for online tut's.

Oh crap, I can't really buy anything untill I sell this pack.
You see I am making a MMO in fully 3d and need resources to do that, and that is why I'm selling this pack for a few bucks, but the thing is I am completly broke right now

Hey guys, I was just wondering, I am using uvmapper classic for all my uvmapping needs but I can't seem to find a good and relativly wuick way of making two sides into one, you know if two sides of something is gonna be completly identical on the texture(for example a gunhandle)you attach those two sides into eachothers. Is there any way of doing this that I'm just missingor do I need to find myself another uvmapper?

I've only ever unwrapped 2 models in my life, for one which was 2 sided I just mirrored the image and overlayed.

It's OK (exept the whole model was a bit messy), but in bottom-left corner and on top you have some empty spaces.

Ya. Try to make the prooprtions between the pieces the same as in the actual model. That way the texture will be the same quality all over the model, rather than having more UV space spent on the handle than the body or vice versa.

Okay guys, small update:

So I took on the greatly fun(NOT!) task of texturing the miniuzi and it is actually going pretty darn good! It actually surprised me that the techniqs I were trying look pretty good so yeah I wanted to show you a W.I.P of the handle texture in photoshop, it's not done yet but it's pretty much the layout that everything is going to look like on the handle, because the only thing now is just making it look abit more 3d.
(IMPORTANT: Remember this is my first EVER texturing of a weapon, and the first ever texturing of a real uvmap)

Okay just to keep you posted, I am still alive, either that or someone killed me and took over my account... sory bad joke =)
I have been making a new weapon it's not textured yet but it is UVMapped and ready for texturing, it is a revolver if someone cares(no I don't know the exact name, I just made it cuase it looked cool.'
My plan for this pack is that I modell and uvmap all the guns and then when I have all the 18weapons lined up I will texture them.

Any weapon requests? Sorry to say this but I wont be doing any nonweapony items anymore for this pack, as this will be a weapons pack. I mat realese more packs with nonweapon items.
