Two excerpts from what am writing atm. Ject and Noval have crossed the plains and have reached the travellers outpost. The shadow dawn is upon them and they must seek shelter from calamities.
The mountains shadow grew a foot every second signalling the sunset. The two watched an aurora burn against the outline of black as the sun fell again into darkness. Flecks of red and orange curled itself around the peak causing the mountain to glow. The two sat and watched the suns last gasp it fought for every second, only to be finally extinguished into darkness.

Expecting someone else? Ject asked hesitantly.
We never know what to expect anymore... The plain spawns horrors- and the horrors wear flesh and skin... the second guard finished. He was carefully watching their every move.
Skin? Ject asked half hoping they wouldn’t answer.
Linkters... one whispered.
Carrion hunters, the other as if the word held power and still, he watched them. The smaller guard seemed to be stronger but the taller one, he was a thinker and thats what made Ject uneasy.
