Wow! That's fantastic! I really love the effect. It's obviously not perfect bloom like in x10, but I actually really like it like this. It looks kinda surreal and dreamy, almost holographic. =D
I'll be sure to get this when it's out!

sync rate timer, it runs off the games internal clock, so when the game slows, the clock slows, and everything runs slower. Timer based means the speed of the game runs off the computer clock, which never slows, the game will look choppy some times, but will not slow.

Your about to get pwned.

fpsc is really annoying, i think we need some1 to re program the speed thing and make it time based, and not frame based.

i would love the person how can do that with the 1.07 code when it comes out

fxgamer, so what they use at the moment, is that why fpsc games can run slow and get bad frames.

LoL, seems like You have been cheating with filters here.. I was testing Your "Bloom-effect" on My laptop that has an ATI card, and this is how it looked like.. (See picture)

I belive people here wourld have more use of more speed than a "bloom-effect".. Dont know if You know that Bloom is more of an outdoor effect anyways.. (But thats a matter of taste ofcourse) By the way, Does 1.01 has save and load? And did those early versions use real shadows??

I can't seem to make this work right, do I replace everything?

P.S When I get it right, how do I do that effect? (The one with the shiny stairs (Screen 2 and 3) And what is that greenish light you use?.)

Winrar? Oh, and by the way, the reason I asked why I should replace everything, was cause I just took SOME of the files in the install folder, and replaced the original files, can someone post EXACTLY WHAT TO DO?

Oh, sorry. WinRAR is a program like WinZip, except more efficient. YOu can open .zip and .rar files with it (compressed ones) and run .exe's without unzipping the whole file.

That's what I did.

To run the demo level?

Download it, open with WinRAR, double click bloom2.exe, press new game, then play the level.

is parralax done in realtime or is it pre rendered during the build. I've played games with it in on PS3, but I don't know if it's done as you're playing it. If it is, that'a a terrible strain on low end to mid range cards, but then is this a mod for high end cards>

@fallen one

Depends on your definition of lag.
When a game lags(actually) everything slows down, and will be in kind of, slow motion but only when using an in game timer. If you use a computer timer, when the game gets down to a low frame rate(below 30/60) the game will look choppy/not smooth but will not be slow motion. A timer system will improve fpsc and it wont look so laggy but it will not improve its overall fps.

Your about to get pwned.

but with the max FPS being raised to 45 it could work quite well with FPSC. I mean IMO that is what we need most not fancy graphics to slow down FPSC.

No, because then there's more room for lag, that's why fpsc is capped at 30 and not 60.

Your about to get pwned.

Because its difficult to set up, adding it now would require some overhauls.

Edit: by the by, fpscx10 uses a computer timer system.

ok, well

back in Germany

i can't answer all your questions, because its really early here in Germany, i'm tired and there are just too many posts

just a few things:

the mod is non-commercial only, no cost, it will be released when it's bug-free (or nearly bug-free)

actually you can use the EXE from the Demo, but this is not the actual version of the mod

so, now i'll go to bed... gn8

I tried that in V1.00 and got...

Then I tried that in V1.07 and got...

Since when did Lee release the V1.01 source?

You also have to copy the bloom shader and put it in your effect bank or it wont work(still it only worked sometimes for me).

the Sourcecode you can download with the DBP 6.2 extras is v1.01 (see remarks!)
(BTW: i found some Remarks where v1.04 is mentioned... strange)

first thing: if you use the exe distributed with the demo level, you should put it to the final game's folder
second thing: you need the bloom.fx in the effectbank (effectbankbloombloom.fx)

and you have to turn "Full Shader Effects" off

sometimes, it will crash while building (various reasons)

so:

Build with new, play with old

(Means: Build your game with the version you wish and use the (old) v1.01 mod exe for playing)

it's building good now (I didnt copy bloom.fx) but...

That is V1.00 and I have still got the same error as in the other post for V1.07

read it carefully

you shouldn't build the game with the modified exe

what you see in this screen is already visible in one of the first screens (see first post of the thread)

it's a problem of the shaders (if there are shaders applied on the segments) and the Image Numbers (internal thing of the Sourcecode)

Thanks, its working now.
Edit: Its still not working in V1.07 games (fine in V1.00)
"Runtime Error 118 - array dose not exist or array subscript out of bounds at line 10178"
is it some thing to do with the fpsc-050.ini because that's a similar error to empties mod, but to fix it you had to change the number in the fpsc-050.ini to 670 or higher for empties mod, but that dosent work in this one.
