Okay, so I love this new store. Its fantastic. Really. But..

I know, that FPSC downloads purchased items in a zip file, and after install, FPSC delete this file.
Is it possible to not remove the downloaded file but keep it, to make the backup easy?

Other:
Is is possible to make a new menu to show only purchased items?

Hope I might be able to throw a few items in there as well.

It'd be cool if we could choose to recieve end payment in points instead of cash, so TGC gets basically all of the revenue (if we're under 18, have a job and don't care), but we get points, to buy models with. Idk, just an idea.

I also like the new GUI for FPSC's editor. ALOT. haha.

Blechhh I need points =(

You do, once you earn 500$ worth of points you can convert them to payment.

Any response for my suggestions about the store?

I don't want to use this new store, until theese suggestions I wrote above are implemented.

( a new menu which will list previously purchased medias ordered by user, and a new feature that make a backup of the downloaded medias (in zip file)
Its very hard to make a backup from automatically installed medias.
Expecially for beginners who are new in fpscreator. Plus its a lot of time too.
Remember, Fpscreator advertise itself as an aplication with user can make fps games without coding. Therefore fpsc is not only for professionals.

However I think this new store is expensive. The old model pack system was better. I got more items and/or character for the same money (20 bucks)

I think the new store is better.
Who wants to buy a whole pack when you only want 1 or 2 things in it?
This way you can assemble your own pack for your $20 or even less.

Yeah, thanks for reminding us of the obvious, but what's the point?
You can build a game without coding and without using the Store.
There is no coding involved in using the store, and it is certainly not for professionals only.

There is already a checkbox for showing purchased items.
Backing up the Files folder is not hard.
It's called Copy/Paste and even begining computer users can do that.

Something wich would be practical, a place where you can find all models in different cathergories instead of having to choose creator, Maybe Militarystuff in one, Citystuff in one, egyptian in one etc. Then if you know what kind of model you want, just choose the cathegory and you find all the models.

That is what the search field is for.
Just type in a keyword and you will find the matches.

I am more anxious to see other types of media included.
Such as Music, Huds, etc. instead of only models and segments.
This thing is new though, so we need to give them a little time to finish the planned improvements before jumping in to more.

As with Conjured I can't wait till more media pops up. Music and sounds are the big ones I want, seem to be some of the hardest media to find decently priced and of good quality.

Yes, but it's not up to much. I said a new menu to show only purchased items. To make the redownload procedure easier if necessary. For example a seller make a bugfix for his/her item(s).

Maybe not hard for You and me. But for a beginner its a nightmare. Files are not always installed only to "purchased" folders.
But you will see. Lot of new topic will born in the fututre like "Help, I can't redownload my purchased items", "Please help, how to easy backup my purchased files"

However, I already find out an easy way to make a backup of the purchased items. Because I know more then copy/paste

I asked for theese features because I thought for new users too. Not only for my pleasure.

I think that you have some valid suggestions which I hope and think TGC will take onboard soon or in the near future.
I can say, as a seller myself,that the sellers are slightly limited at present as to what they can upload to the Store because of fairly restricting 'naming conventions' and file type recognition to suit the uploader for the Store.
I have been banging my head trying to figure a way how to upload 'multiple' room segments but at present have not found a way to make this happen with the present restrictions of the uploader.
The present system used requires 'renaming of all media to suit the uploader which when dealing with multiple entities/segments becomes a slight nightmare for the seller.
I know that changes are made to the Store in reply to valid questions in this thread, so lets hope to see more before the Stores official release.

I have no issues with the store.It took seconds to figure it out and use it.
That being said I would like two things from the store.
A button you can click that shows everything you purchased from the store in one group and for the store to check your files before you purchase something that way you don't purchase something by accident that you already have.
I have done this myself.Nobody wants to spend points to buy something that they already bought before.
You can download anything you purchase up to 5 times so if you do something really ingenious and wipe everything out or something crazy like that you can download it again.
I still say this is the best thing TGC has ever done.You can open the store,purchase what you need and go back to your project in seconds.
Another thing the artists might do is check the master media thread for ideas of what to make.
There are a wide variety of things to buy at the store but there are certain things that aren't there or there are a shortage of.
It will be neat when the store has other media available as well.

The floating skull is gone but the flames burn on!!!

Well the naming conventions are why it is categorized by creator instead of category.
I can imagine multiple people uploading a file with an already existing filename if the creators share the same folders.
With the current method, if each creator names his item the same name as another creator's object then there is no conflict.

Yeah, it takes lots of time and talent to create high quality music.
Especially with all of the features that are packed into modern music studio software.

I have a problem forgive e if this has already been answered but i didn't want to read through 222 posts.

When i download any object and try to use it all it shows is a white blob in the editor and when i test game there is nothing. please help i have all the latests updates and direct x my system specs are

2Gb ram
2.20 Ghz processor
G-Force 9600 GT
Windows Vista Ultimate.

You are using the models in x9 and not in X10, right?

The white blob effect is usually what happens when the editor can't find a models texture.
That is why it appears invisible in game, because it has no texture on it.
Check in the file folders to see that all of the files downloaded without corruption by opening the textures in your paint program.

No text in my buttons or in any of the popups.
With the exception of the popup with details on
the store items. See screenie

Hey, I purchased Luke's old Stove_a and it was the buggy version that
crashes FPSC. Well... it was re-uploaded but yet it shows I've not
purchased it... so that means I'm stuck with the buggy one and cannot
download the new version unless I buy it again. Is there anyway
I can be reimbursed for this or receive the good model?

I've got a problem with John Fletcher's character models... When they get shot and fall down with their custom animation once they get up they float, then fall again and then get up and act normally... How can I stop the floating and falling? I can capture it if you need to see what is going on...

UPDATE: NEVERMIND, STORE BACK!!!


SAMHH keeps deleting his zombies after I download them. Is there something wrong with them? This is the second time I've seen him do that.

If a person buys $250.00 of purchase points and only is able to spend $240.00 worth of them due to how items are priced, TCG just cancels the unused points and keeps the $10.00?

Is that how it works?

Okay... the store will not let me log-in.
I've tried the newer and later versions. It just says
"Failed to send request: 12037
The store may be down or your unable to connect to it."

This just happened here recently. Help?

Also... others bought items this weekend... so the store can't be down... otherwise they couldn't receive the items.

Hi every one, Ricky says that we can sell anything related to make games in FPSC, so can i sell texture packs? Like, 100 metal, wood, stone and concrete wall textures for 50 points?
or like; High resolution 5 Wood textures for 5 points??

Strange, it's ok for me, are you sure you've logged in Fred? Yes you may laugh but I've done it, wondered why it didn't say purchased under the models, then realised I hadn't logged in...

There should be a way for you to DELETE your music zip files from your store account. This way if you make a mistake in your zip file, or you wish to modify you music, you can delete and reupload it.
I'm just starting and have two uploaded files which have mitakes in them. Now I cannot reupload the changes until the administrator deletes my files.

Right-click/remove the item from sale (icon border turns red) then right-click/edit it. You should be able to specify a new .zip unless music is handled differently from other assets. Just be sure when your done to put it back up for approval.
