@Yodaman Jer, Well, I have a sort of editor in my code. I'm not hard coding the levels, but I am entering all to coordinates of objects by hand. I highly recommend building an editor instead, for my next game I'm not starting it until all of my engine and editor works (next game is not grid based or block based, totally different engine). Good luck man, it's a good skill to have. And thank you very much for the support!
@Josh Mooney & TheZachadoodle, I thought about it for a bit and discussed with a friend. I think if I do do anything on a cd, it will be in a dvd style case, and the mini comic will not be of dream, but the events just before Dream, giving greater incite into what's happening and where it fits in my fictional universe. Thisw however would also be like a collectors addition or whatever, and would come maybe with some signed art or signed comic or something, and a forward I think. It would cost more most def. The file compressed is only 30 megs, and even with everything I'll be adding to the media, the compressed file will never get much above 40, if that I think. Uncompressed is around 60 megs.
If possible, I'd like to have this on steam, though not sure how that would work. Once I start getting more into marketing and selling, I'll look into that. I want to first and foremost have a near finished work for that giant compo, which I think I'm going to enter.
Updated the second level, LOD Forest. It was the slowwest level in the game because of the background, so I fixed it up.
Less trees, but they're bigger and the color overall is better. !8th level background is looking better and better, I'll be working on the effects and above ground part soon.
Edit: oh yes, this 18th level is now called "The Train Wreck". There are three levels in the game with that name, it becomes important is a cool little something that makes a lot of sense in replaying, along with every single other thing in the game. Also The fifth level in all three acts are dessert levels. Then there are three story levels, three snow levels, and three rising levels. Hmm... I'm also pretty sure there are only 3 rain levels. Looks like I ended up making three an important numbe in Dream as well.
Only two lava levels though, and only two non-rising levels with liquid you fall into that hurts.
