I agree, but performance wise its Horrible. 9fps on the lowest quality settings in a one room level. There are no enemies, weapons or dynamic objects either.

Are you running the FPSC-Game.exe with administrator rights?

Found out why

When you start the level the player jumps about 5 paces to the left of the screen. If you are near a wall when this happens you get flung through and into the air on the otherside.

Also another bug i found all the water is pure black

One more the FPS level at max is 13 which is very bad for my rig as it has a nvidia 9600 GT 1024MB and Intel Core 2 duo 2.8GHz so that need attention.

It happens when your rig doesn't have enough power to manage all the effects (-> low framerate -> timersystem goes crazy -> physics bugs) or you did something wrong regarding your FPSC configuration (especially, see the next point: )

Did you disable the FPSC Shader system?

What about disabling the compatibility mode?

These are my current settings:

Shaders = Off
Texture Detail = Medium
Lightmapping = Quick
FPSC Version = V1.08 and V1.09 tested on both same results

This is my rigs specs:

Intel Core 2 Duo 2.8Ghz
9600 GT 1024MB Ram
3GB Ram
Vista 32bit (all the necessary UAC changes have been made and runs in compatablity mode)

Results of test are:

Water is still black
Very slow Highs of 15 FPS and lows of 2 FPS
Player jumps at startup
General Tab on GUI doesn't work when you try to click on it same with debug tab

Am setting up my super fast PC with FPSC right now so that i can test on that it has following

Intel Quad Core 3.2Ghz
Dual nvidia 9600 GT 1024MB
4GB Ram
Vista 32bit

It has to be some kind of driver issue, did you update them?
Because you should get 40-60 FPS on a map which isn't overloaded with entities.... how many enemies do you have in it?
Screenshots?

30x25?
You mean 30 by 25 segments?
Then you just shot yourself in your knee

Could you set up a completely new installation of FPS Creator 1.08?

How does saving the settings work for this version? Is it all script based still? Someone should make a tutorial.

This is just the FPSC-Game.exe.
And you need (for the best experience) FPSC 1.08 (my personal opinion) as the basis.

@The Next:
Are you using a notebook/mobile graphic chip?
If so, this should be the reason.
We're having similar bugs like yours on laptops in the german community. With the same graphic chip.

just take the FPSC-Game.exe in the zip file and patch it into the FPS Creator root folder replacing the one thats already there

Just contact us via email.

As some of you probably don't know, THIS is efxMod 1.6.5, not the in-development efxMod 2009 which is still in a pre-alpha stage.

Anyone who's interested in commercial licenses/beta testing (both 1.6.5+ and 2009) should contact us via email.

Depends on the future/planned usage, which product you want to test, etc.
Actually, we're not giving out betas of 1.6.5+ because we're doing official/community betatests.

There's still efxMod 2009, which is in a closed-testing phase (and btw. still not alpha). But I'm pretty sure we won't give any testing versions of 2009 without having the security of future financial support.

At the moment, we developed efxMod for more than 15 months (earlier concepts and pre-efx Mods existed already 20 months ago.
So we actually invested and invested, thousands for hardware, software, energy costs and most of our spare time.

And what we earned for all this... at least, no money.

This is the reason why we are only willing to give out such stuff when we're sure we can cover the development costs.

hmm, after testing this its... dissapointing, the FPS is horrible even when i mess around with the sync bar, and compared to most gamers, i have a rather good system (GEFORCE 8500GT) overall the functions are very nice, but otherwise its not great really

Tried it, it seems ok, no major bugs... FPS of around 25 on a mid end machine.

Can't say I'm too impressed with the license, not for use in competitions? Would be happier to see a not for profit clause without a commercial license but that's just me.

On the subject of licenses, is the price of $150 right? If so, that seems ridiculously expensive for what is in effect an expansion to an engine which only costs $50. Especially as we've been promised a lot of the features in this mod from TGC in the migration for free. Having said that, it's kind of hard to really judge without a manual outlining the features, but I doubt I'd be willing to pay that amount.

No the price Nighthawk just told me was $170 USD thats £118 GBP but thats for V1.6.5 and 2009 licences and all the pre-release versions included. But true its allot seeing as Plysmod is only $20 USD

$170? So more than $150. Sorry, but that seems way too expensive to me, I really don't think it's worth that kind of money in the circumstances.

Incidentally, I've been involved in programming for a lot of years and am more than happy to pay if I feel I'm getting good value.

Price aside, I think the beta wasn't too bad, but I was expecting a lot more.
