just enter "normal"
but the normal mapping is not really visible, becaue of the low maps i am using for parallax.
But you will see abit of it!

EDIT:
If you think there is no normal mapping active, than press the "4" button and you see that he is rendering

Ah, I see. I tried it before, but it was hard to notice, as you said.
I tried entering "bump" in the field too, I seemed to get the depth renderer or something instead, lol.

ehm you should get nothing because there is no effect called "bump" in the source code...

will try it out, but I think there are just no textures and all because he does not use any effect

EDIT:
found the bug with the normal mapping shader.
this evening I will upload a fix for it, so the normal mapping works like it should!
Stay tuned!

Heh, well, I didn't get any textures either. I got a sort of a fog-like vision instead.

Just read the first page...

The Mod sounds promising but one little..... uh, detail has caught my eye in just about every screenshot.

It seems that you DoF shader is very low-res, only showing a small amount of duplicate images to provide the blur.. this has an insatiable effect on the overall appearance, even on "non-blurred" parts of the screen. It makes it look rather low-res, "gritty", or even hazy-mosaic when the blur is turned up. Perhaps you could put a few more images intot he blur, or increase the blur texture resolution to counter this. I know doing that will make the shader run a tad slower, but my eye's been twitching just looking at it the way it is right now.

The one and only,

I think some textures need fixing on that one seg, or just something do with shaders, because that does not look good, or seamless

i hope to get them working on weapons.

also I know that this one segment has a little "problem" because I used a normal map which is to high, but that can be fixed

will try to add the weapon thing in v 1.15

EDIT:
found out that the Bloom was never activated, also if the setup.ini has set "glow" to 1.
Thats a bug inside the source code and i qill upload an update on the official site maybe this evening!

I managed to get the demo to kinda work by deactivating the water, and I didn't die. I still bounced around alot, but it managed to get a look at the level. The only problem is that the segments you used are made to look like they're already shadowed, so it's a bit harder to notice the parralax mapping...

When do you plan to release this?

By the way, the updated demo is fantastic. I love the Bloom, although it just might be a tad too strong.

Edit:

Also, is there anyway to turn this...

into this?

In other words, change the light refraction below the water to a white/blue that's a little less saturated? The orange refraction is a little odd, especially for that setting.

Thats my problem ^^

It looks good. But i noticed everywhere a glow surround things. Tht bothers me. I am sure that is a nice effect you added in. But it bothers me, that around every single object there is a glow.
Could be me though.

Looking good.

Keep this up.

4 questions
1) do characters have dynamid shadows too?
2) i dont think anyone has mentioned it yet, so im ask, have you talked with wizmod?
looks really cool
3) can you change the strenght of the shadows?
4) also i coudnt find the vid, where is it? lol
5) these are definitly enough features, but you did so to be continued, so what else are you making?!

1) yes they have, but they do not work correctly
2) I gave up my work on Wizmod because I have to do a lot with the Cranox Team (and no I am not the boss of Cranox Interactive!)
3)yes you can adjust the Ambient setting so the shadows are not that strong
4)just look here: http://www.youtube.com/CranoxInteractive
5) no answer on this one ^^

i know i already asked about the weapons support, but one other thing, do you think you could integrate Airmod 0.6 with this? it's just that i really need some features in Airmod and i need all the features in this.

I tried the update.
But it gave me some weird bugs. Like i was jumping all the time.
And then all of a sudden i just slipped through the floor and died.

So i couldnt check the water in action.

On the other hand, the previous version worked like a charm. And was really good! Nice flashlight function and great performance.
Really like whats going on on here.

Tested and still looks great Dark. Keep it up!

BTW Eyeball games I already discussed airmod with Dark. Leave it alone for now. That goes to others as well. Enough with the airmod requests.

wow this mod is brilliant, and i love the underwater refraction light thingy, oh and by the way Aaron, its not orange its a spectrum, so its quite more realistic than yours, but it probably should be changeable anyway

actually the worm colors are realistic because the sun gives that refraction. the only times that water has white/blue refractions is when it either has a blue die or lots of chemicals. and i'm from america so don't say "Here in America" again.

im a little confused though arent you one of the lead developers of wizzmod?.. ?

and how much is cranoz mod gonna cost?

and will it be open source?

also last question, i dont mean to troll or whatever its called, but is there a reason the cranox team cannot work with the wizmod team, because this mod seems very similer to what wizzmod is going for and i bet you could sell a combonation of the mods for double the price

I checked the older version again.
(didnt read some parts of the thread, so didnt knew that water was also in the previous version)
Anyway, checked it out worked better then the new version and just like you said it can take a while before the water reaches the players height.
After that, it looked very nice! But! It would look better if it had some reflection.

Oh yeah and also, when the water reaches my height i was again flipping, jumping, bouncing and then dying.
I dont know if other people are experiencing the same problem as Mr Bigglesworth and me?
