Quote: "A quick demo would be nice, but I think you should put more time into it. And sorry about that regirock, I started on it about a week ago, it got deleted somehow, I started back, computer shut off for some odd reason and I lost it, then I lost my sanity, and nearly exploded. So, I'll still try my best to get it to you soon."

It okay.

Quote: "Holy jeez, that's pretty cool. But I can't recall any pokemon that evolve 5 times. I can't even think of one that evolves three times. "

I added this because I am trying to allow people to make a better pokemon game instead of the garbage that Nintendo makes.(I thought their pokemon games were bad.)

Edit - Also going to add the updated version of evolved's advanced lighting system, and try to get a quick video of the typing system (Text Input System).

Okay, going to see if I could get it fixed.

Been working on a new shader system to add to my pokemon engine, after taking about a week learning HLSL.

And if you look at the HLSL language compared to darkbasic pro's language, you will see they are pretty similar to me, like structures in HLSL are basically like Types/Arrays in Dbpro.

Edit2: Finally finished the pokemon commands for the demo!
Now all I have to do is readd the GUI, and then everybody can play with the commands.

Edit: Also the new shader system is going to be static because I don't know how do shadow shading in hlsl.

I have three pokemon models, but non of them are animated.

You didn't say you are using the A and B buttons from Nintendo! That's really quite awesome! Is the whole game like that?

It may become quite annoying to type in long words with that input sytem with a controller, so it will be wise to add a text input from the keyboard too. Of course you can keep the current feature, just make the letters that are pressed on the keyboard appear.

EDIT : Do you by any chance need a Pikachu?

You mean the Wii Remote buttons, because those were for the XBox 360 controller?

I got that covered already.

Okay, I am going to redo the main menu system, and add a save/load menu, then try and get video of the main menu in action.

Also glad to see you working on this. Hope you follow all the way through with it. Regirock is getting there, don't you worry. He shall be finished in all his rocky glory someday.

I've finally got the layout right for the GUI and this time I going to do everything one by one because the last GUI was ruined trying to add so many features without completing each part completely.

Finally got some time to work on this, and I've decided that I am going to release the demo without the GUI, then make updates to it adding the missing pieces and more.

Okay, I've uploaded the demo on to my website, the help file isn't complete, but I didn't want to leave you guys hanging.
http://csgm.webs.com/downloads.htm
(To use the engine you must include the deferred render in your project.)

Edit: Let me know if there is any problems, suggestions, or questions.

Next update is probably going to include some graphics and the Static LightMapping Shader System. Then I'm going to finish the rest of the commands and add the GUI in.

I downloaded it. But the .dbo was the only file I found. When I clicked it, it opened up a new Dark Basic Pro Editor. Not sure how these dark basic file types work, but I think you included the wrong one?

By the way, I forgot my textures were that high of a resolution. I'll scale them down and give em' back to you later.

I made a quick instruction file to help.

I need someone that has dark lights to test this shader effect file for me ( because mines is acting up, for some reason It will only work for the demos?), I've included all the resources in a rar file. Post a screenshot how it looks too.

ScreenShot of the shader from Dark Shader!
http://csgm.webs.com/Ouick%20Pic.png

1). Use the "cobbles_D.dds" for Color Map [0]
2). Use the "cobbles_R.dds" for Normal Map [2]
3). Use the "White.bmp" for Specular Map [1]
4). Use Dark Lights command "LM ADD SHADED LIGHT MAP OBJECT" and set it to the lightmap's texture stage [3]
5). Use the "Alien Diffuse.dds" [CUBEMAP] for Global Illumination Map [4]

After I finish this pokemon engine, I came up with the idea of forming a team with the best programmers, modelers, animators, and shader masters on this site to make a simulation football game so people would have a better game than Madden NFL.

Decided to abandon Dark Lights and use Gile[s] to lightmap a small room model I've made and then apply my shader to it in Dark Shader, and the results are my website's homepage at the news section dated
today. Notice that the object isn't using a textures because, the model texture scale is wrong, so I'm going to fix it in DBPro then make a new video on it.

Also, this would be my fifth post straight. Nobody has any comments or suggestions on anything, I've updated my site?

Edit : Downloading the HD Video on my site contains the complete video of the Static Shading System http://csgm.webs.com/thepokemonengine.htm

Woh, I totally forgot about this. Looking great, keep it up. I made a signature for you, a little encouragement to keep the project up until the end.

It's got some white specs in it, I kind of rushed it since it's like 4am here and I'm exhausted, but here's a placeholder.

[edit] Do you know how to make it clickable?

Thanks for the feedback, finally!
Been finishing up the commands in the pokemon engine and add the ability to use glow textures with the static shading system.

Added some new images on the Shading System. The Image Labeled [OLD] shows a lightmaped level without my shading effect and the [NEW] labeled file shows it with the effect. http://csgm.webs.com/apps/photos/

Ambient Color can be set for both Global Illumination and Light Maps, and your going to be able to use Real-Time or static Global Illumination, and different lighting modes. (ex : Phong and Blinn)

Later, I'm going to make a video showing of the Glow Textures using a Dark Shader's bloom effect. And also when making a glow, you only need to use black and white, the color of the glow is controlled in the effect file.

Edit: HappyCheesecake, using the logo you sent me.

That's what I did. I just downloaded the image how it was, but it came up with the black not transparent. I don't know why it does that.

Edit:
Finally got my bluetooth for the wiimote, but I can't get windows 7 to even detect my bluetooth device. It keeps saying it wasn't recognized, but I installed the drivers for it.

Haven't been working on this until today, due to driver issues with SLI (Had to reinstall windows twice). But, I've just made an update to how the global illumination is rendered and it is looking incredible (Video Coming Soon)! Also, I was looking for a plugin or something similiar that will allow me to grab information of the processor, graphics card, memory, and harddrive so I can add a system that rates your computer and automatically turns certain features off/on to increase performance/quality.

Edit: Okay now the logo is working! Thanks a lot HappyCheesecake!
