Welcome.

Watch out, you're on a geek forum, thus most people here are unfamiliar with concepts such as 'girls', so if they go mad around you, they're just trying to understand what a 'girl' is, just think of that poor alien who landed in Roswell and the US government is now experimenting on.

Oh and don't feed the Grandma, he'll seem sweet, but he tends to bite, so we have to warn all newcomers.

But yes, religion and politics are a no-no, sometimes you can just about get away with it, when people are mature and respectful, but it's against the rules for a reason, presumably because not everybody can handle debate respectfully.

I can't find the original thread, but I found this site which has a copy of the messages:
http://www.themoggie.co.uk/quotes/zenicanin14

Those messages are now legendary

Welcome to the forums.

It is a geek forum, so if you're a geek, you found the right home.

Enjoy.

There are 2 ways to develop for the N64:
1. Develop C code with PsyQ SDK and illegal Nintendo libs
2. Develop C code with legal kits, such as the Ground Zero devkit (g0dev.zip)

I have searched for that legendary thread.

I gave up last year. Even though its a copy, the epicness still lingers lol.

Omg a girl! Fellow geeks, we must take this opportunity to study her and learn from her ways. Learn how to communicate, bond, and possibly mate with their kind... Or maybe we could just say hi and hang out with the new... eh... "girl".

So, welcome to the forums! Hope you have an enjoyable stay and don't forget to return your room key on your way out.

Btw, I started posting in the posting competition not too long after I signed up. And look at me now! I'm perfectly fine.

HC,

I can bet on your life when i say this, you should not be allowed to have kids, and when you do find a girl that will touch you with a 10ft pole, hold on to her. Its the best you can do. ^^*

I've already proved you wrong. My current girlfriend touches me with a 7ft pole. So, "Haha, in your FACE!!!"...

...

*sigh* Sorry, I'm lying...

So Lazerus...I feel uncomfortable asking this but, um... Do you happen to have a boyfriend by chance? Because I'm willing if you are.

[edit] @thenerd, I just read through some of that and I must say, Tilly has got a lot to live up to. So Tilly, if you're reading this, you better get to work on being uber 1337.

Your gf has a pole? And I thought you guys were joking about not everyone knowing what a girl was.

Hmm. I wonder why girls don't come here often. Could it have something to do with this?

I dont know, if I say "welcome aboard", I would feel like an idiot, mostly because Id be joining in this massive swarm around you. Like, really, when ever anyone else posts a "hello Im new thread!", It doesnt get past 50 posts like this.
Just pointing that out, not that it matters to anyone.

Have a and some , and get coding.

I must say Welcome to the forums. You seem to be a very polite person, and you kinda remind me of another member of the forum, "Leaning Objects to the Side", also known as Tanya. Both of you seem very polite.
And while that may not seem much, it is a lot, all because of this Tanya has grown very popular throughout the years, and now every forum member tends to flirt with her. That may be the case for you too.
Well anyways, welcome to the forums. Will you be a coder, modeller, designer?
It's nice to have another girl in the forums. Another chance to practise my flirting skills.

@TillyLala- Welcome to the forum.

That is interesting that you described that you want to learn Dark Basic coding. Are you interested in making games or just helping out your boyfriend come up with better ways to produce a game? Also, what type of coding does your man/bf do? I'm currently learning C++ which is fun yet difficult at times, and I would recommend you to learn that at some point for educational purposes.

I'm amazed though that this thread received so many responses because a new/female gender joined the forum.

@ Everyone - Thanks for all the welcomes! I feel so loved, hehe! Hmm.. I seem to have created quite a bit of attraction to myself here! I wasn't expecting to come online to almost 30 emails just about this post... Hmm no I aren't the same person as this Tanya you all talk about... We're yet to meet

@Beast E Gargoyle - I'm just wanting to do a bit so I don't feel left out when my boyfriend sits there coding and I run out of things to do tbh... He does a bit of all sorts, he's currently making a game called "Hostile" which you may have seen a thread about on here...

@ AdrianoJones Wannabe - I'm not quite sure yet, i'm yet to discover what i'm good at! But i'll give everything a go once

That's one clue. Check.
Quote: "She's just started a thread!"

Enough clues. Check.

But anyways, good luck with everything, I started off very... pathetic, now I've grown better... I think.
But you've started off with lots of popularity, so it looks like you're off to a good start.

Leave it to a geek to ask if a girl is hot in her own thread...

I find it very entertaining when all you socially awkward kids act so weird around a member of the opposite gender. Wait 'till you've reached my age, you'll feel like such an idiot. Trust me, I would know...
