This is a misconception to anyone new reading this thread. Mods never abuse their power, and as you are entitled to your opinion, 90% of the time no one else cares.

It's not rocket science. When you are banned and try to log in you are informed you were banned and why.
If you didn't bother to read the reason then that is your problem.
We can't take the time to dig through years of info just to find out why you were banned when you should know yourself.

What's with the slew of off-topic posts? In a sticky, no less. ultraplex, please refrain from posting here about this matter. KeithC and FredP both have their emails in plain view, so use them.

Back on topic... were the individuals to which the pirating took place part of this community? Were they banned as well? The only info I've seen on this matter was that TheK pirated the software, banned and no other specifics were made public. If another member was the receiver to the software, perhaps it prudent to name them as well? A heads up, if you will.

He gave it to someone named Silverwolf, who in turn gave it to someone named Whitewolf PL.

They and there alternate accounts were banned, IIRC.

If these were more pirates of Project Blue could you please email me regarding information. As I'll need to take them off of the update list.

The piracy is majority for games and software, I think not for mods like Pb or something, it's free if you decided to buy it then uploads it to the internet and then share the link with a friend, is the fault of the purchaser it not of the seller

Is my opinion

What do you mean? Are you saying that it is alright to pirate mods/games made by 3rd party people but not large companies' games?

the piracy is for games (much dollars), but mods is not piracy, you can send the link to a friend I think, and is not really piracy

Piracy is just passing on someone else's copyrighted property without permission. Just like if your Xara mod was not free and someone here sent it around, it is STILL piracy, no matter how large the party being pirated is.

Wow, that is the kind of sick mentality that piracy starts as. So even though I paid good money for the mod I use now, it is ok for someone else to go pick it up for free somewhere online? And what about the creator? You're basically telling him to f- off because you don't think his work is actually worth the price he put on it. I'm sorry but pirating is pirating, no matter how "much dollars" it cost.

As others have said; if it costs money to own, and someone passes it along for free (or charges for it, without the owner's consent)...it's piracy, plain and simple.

I'll be honest, it bloody sickens me how people pirate models/software from these forums. I'll admit, I have pirated one or two games/software in the past (and those were very petty ones too, as I can't stand having to wait for long downloads, therefore have never pirated a commercial game), but I would NEVER pirate something from a tiny community like this or a program made by some poor bloke sitting in his bedroom (Like FPSC or project blue). Not to mention the models and programs here are dirt-cheap anyway.

Maybe it's a good idea to not talk about stupid things you did in the past. More then likely you will be getting checked on more.

I don't think I'm going to be banned for saying that I've pirated something in the past as 1: There's no solid proof that I did, and 2: It's something that happened a long time ago.

I do think tho, Reputation is a bit more revelant then a ban. So it is better then let him talk, and cry for more, then banning him, if he doesnt change his attitude , it will lead to destorying his reputation, and after that he will feel ashamed of that and recover his situation, as for ultraplex:

"It is better to keep ur mouth shut, and let people think ur a fool, then open it, and remove all doubt!"

Those are my thoughts anyway,

@TerrorNation,

Manipulating people's quotes and changing what they said in those quotes, like 'nobody loves me boo hoo', which is insulting.

@ Ultraplex - your off topic posting is pretty grating

I think while your on about Piracy all those who say
i have 3dsm 2009/2010 how can i do this or i can i model
this should prove they did buy the program.
And if they can't should also have a ban .
If Piracy is Piracy then it should cover everything
not just on this forum.

I am not going to check and see if each member of these forums paid for everything they have.
Sooner or later the pirates will get caught.
In my opinion it would be an invasion of privacy for us or anybody else to ask if someone bought something or not without a good reason.

I have always wanted FPS Creator but have been unable to get the full one (i didn't have the money) but i stuck to the demo, and made my levels, holding my head high. Early this year, my friend asked me what i wanted 4 my birthday, in late febuary. I told him i wanted this software, and so he got it for me. not hard right? he also gets he benefit of being one of my testers, and critics. That is the benefit of not pirating.

I got mine through trial-play with gametap. You need a CC, but it's still free. Also received 750 store points for getting my mini-game in the top 10 in one of TGC's competitions. In the last TGC compo I got a free copy of Advanced Animations plugin for DBP.

If you keep an eye out your bound to get something cheap or free.
