same here. Raritys charecter is very interesting. On one hand she is a lying lustful greedy selfish-ish backstabber (too extreme?)on the other hand, she is a hard worker, and a smart businesswoman, a creative fashion genius and she is generous.
even when she IS about to ditch her friends for a good opportunity to make a name for herself she does weigh the options heavily and is still very considerate of her friends.
So its hard to hate her. And even tho her element is generosity, she is often selfish so its like she is both selfish AND generous.
Also i realized that raritys charecter is very similar to myself
Rarity- makes/repairs clothing
me- build and repair computers
Rarity- loves her work
me- loves his work (i hatemy work sometimes because computers are retarted as well as many of the companies who make them and i hate some customers too, But unlike rarity i am not in control of everything in my line of work. Rarity dosent deal with complex equipment)
Rarity- wants her clothes to be FABULOS
me- i want my computers to be Powerful
(also i do have a preference to computer/laptop exterior design so i am usually picky about what laptop/PC case i get.. sometimes i buy a whole PC just for the case that i want if i cant find the case seperatley)

me- also generous (i help people with computers but i charge them almost nothing ($100 bucks is the most i charged usually its $30) also sometimes i provide people with parts for free if they are inexpensive or i dont think i need it. and because of my generosity a few people owe me money that adds up to about $700
anyway....
Rarity- greedy especially for rare gems and high quality clothing stuff
me- I am greedy for rare computer parts, rare gadgets and electronics that are high quality, have good functionality and look pleasing to the eye.
and just like Rarity, if i see something i like thats owned by someone else, i will try to scam it off of them (if i think i have a chance based on my educated guesses and psycological profile) Or if there is no chance, i will at least talk them into selling it to me
Rarity- might consider ditching ponies close to her for an opportunity to make profit or a name for herself among the elite
me- i have been down this path at my old job where i got payed very good money, and i ended up working sometimes 12 hours or more per day as well as working on Weekends. I ended up quitting after i realised that i was turning into a monster who ignored his family as well as domestic chores that needed to be done at the time.

there are possibly other similarities which i cant think of right now. (i complain a lot about bad quality electronics and computer parts, rarity also complains about stuff sometimes.)
so i think I identify the most with Rarity.
