This, unfortunetly, always happens in any debate over the console's or the companies. It is unavoidable at best.

I apologize to Sir Spaghetti Code if I went on raving about how Nintendo will not leave the video game business. I don't see them doing that (as neither do you) simply because their games are to beloved among gamers for them to lose out. However, I also do not think they will exit the hardware, because while the PSP and DS could be considered competitors, I don't think they're quite on the same bandwidth. The PSP is obviously capable of playing games, but it's also going to push a lot into some different areas (playing movies, music, etc.). The DS will be completely focused on games...which I think is an asset. I also think that the DS will target the older gamer audience more than the younger since the GBA will still be released alongside the DS. But anyways...

Please note, I'm not a fanboy. Yes, Nintendo is a wonderful company that has treated me very well over the years...but that doesn't mean I enjoy the Xbox or PS2! In fact, me and my brother are video game collectors, and enjoy numerous consoles (granted, the SNES is still the most popular among the 15+ different consoles we own).

I just hope they make a cool Golden Sun sequel for DS.
And maybe release old Final Fantasies on it, y'know? Imagine playing Final Fantasy 7 or 8 on a DS, they would have to work on compression and you'd have several cartridges...but that'd still be cool. Good for road trips.

Rich the word 'Revolution' also isn't in the Japanese language, the closest is 'Next Evolution', or rather they have it but not in the way that the English mean it.

Alot of thier current hardware is *not* being designed in the country and they quite are aptly named.
Revolution (GameCube Advance) has more features and power than the Xenon, hense why Microsoft added a third processor recently, but I bet this is gonna be dropped.

Insurrection (3-GameBoy / G-Cubed) is just that. It was designed directly against the wishes of the old CEO, and shows the vergence of the new administration.

Nintendo are making money, lots of it. Their policy of exclusive games will mean they will ALWAYS be in business.
It's like Microsoft creating DirectX, it's here to stay no matter what you think.

Nintendo will always be around no matter how small the following.
It is that following which keeps them alive through rough periods, because they have something worth being loyal to.
