you can do it like this:

Make a code where you can place primitive(cube, sphere etc) or .x files on a sertain position in the 3D aera. You can do this also with lights and as math already said: entities.

Then make a save code that saves all the object positions, rotations, textures etc etc etc by using the open to write and other file commands.

To load it in your game, use a function that reads your save file correctly with the open to read, and read byte, read string commands.

Good luck ( I attached a screenie from an event editor I'm working on)

oh btw, the files in the directory from the demo "maps" are save files from his editor i guess

@Math: It will be very cool if you make the lights shootable. That isn't hard to do

This is very impressive, it all seems to work very well..
I'm currently working on some prejects here and there.. but if you would perhaps consider developing your own concept, storyline etc. for this game, I might start modeling a few monsters.. I'm not too experianced yet, though I feel I've gottan far in very short time

Could you convert them into a .wma file ?

I don't use lightmaps. It's all the dbp lights

hmm, I can't export the files to .wmv . But you can save the sounds yourself as wmv's if i'm right. You need media player 9 for this.

Open for example scream.mp3 and then goto file > save as and type: scream.wmv, click save.

I'm not sure if this works but i hope, i really cant export to wmv, sorry.

You are an bad boy math89
i noticed that texture 3 and 9 are from my grunt entry i made for the 2003 competition.
but dont worry i liked your little game so you are allowed to use them as iam originally an texture artist that started coding so do i do all my textures bye my self.
if you like so could i look in to my older textures i made for various hl mods and stuff.
only crapper is that they are small in size often only 256x256 in size but be aware i do not have that much time nowdays to sitt bye the computer.
great work.

AMD ATHLON 1.8 XP WITH AN GEFORCE 4 TITANIUM 4600 (128 MB) AND 256 MB DDRAM (266).

Nice spider, Joep.

The problem is that the collisions are set up for frame 0 so if the objet is played, collisions stay the same so it's not perfect. But when they are walking, the frame is almost similar to frame 0. Just don't aim head, arms or legs .

Oh my freakin' god! It gave me the heebee-geebees!
That's so awesome! With improved graphics, it could almost be compared to Doom 3!
But there is some cons:

No blood yet.
No crooshair.
Quite bad AI (I killed one from a distance, without it even noticing)
And finally... Translate it to english
I've read what all the computer screens in your game says, but we need to understand what happens in the game, and I don't speak french...

But I'm still looking forward to see the full game. And to see if you will publish it, or give it away free.

it is not the best there is.. but he created a game which hase the classic DOOM feeling. That is hard to do, to give a game a specified atmosphere.

Math, would you like to have the spider? I'm retexturing and animating it now.

How do you extract the .rar files? This is really annoying. Could you provide it in a regular .zip format?

I agree, I won't be able to try it out for a week since I don't have WinRAR on this machine and am not allowed to install anything and my other machines don't have tools available to extract rar's but all of them can handle zips.

I just found a bug you might wanna fix

If you stand on the second floor and there is a monster on the 1 floor it can actually damage you if it stands under you.

[EDIT]:

Just found a new bug!

open a door stand under it. When the door close you gonna fly out from the level
