Had to scrape the first one, she unexpectaly turned into a froggies' model twin creature/sister...

Been at it now for about 3 1/2 hours (females suck, lol, no seriously) so this make it my offical second attempt at a female face....

Much left to do, but atleast I haven't turned this one to crap -> yet..

BTW - the head wrap is just a place holder for hair..

edit: new update on my progress for this competition...

Ahem *BEAUTY* this thing is as about as beautiful Sharon Osbourne with 15 successful face lifts, 12 nose jobs and brain surgery to change her personality

But the modelling is good Cian

There are people in this world who are actuall attracted to her. I know it's scary but it's true. So maybe their are some people attracted to my model who is now named... Harold.

I see. are you one of these people dude, or by any chance is her surname Pundil . Anyway, on a more serious not, the image is wee bit small, and well, the sweet photoshop user doesn't give his work a texture, as a not so funny stand up comedian would say, whats up with that?

Well I whipped it up quickly and was really just messing around with the 3DS Max Rendering features. And Im gonna get a larger pic up soon I just have to reduce the file size of the image. And yes Lady Harold's surname is Pundil.

So a bigger pic of Lady Harold Pundil will be up later tonight but she still will not have a texture. It just ruins her s3xorz appeal. XD

Here's mine. 3 months, 810 poly's and I still haven't fixed the eyes.
Not interested in points, just wanted to show it.

@Underhill looks kewl
What I would suggest is sort out the topology of the eyes, as you have said is a problem. a good way to do this is put the eye balls in a realistic position and move the vertices around the eyes to shape around the eye ball, it's a problem I used to get all the time, so no worries

@Cian,
Thought so, that damn Pundil!

Considering you're using Max, hair shouldn't be a problem, just as suggestion.

Looks good, the hair reminds me of the Zygote woman preset in Cinema 4D, which I used on an old model who everyone thought looked like Micheal Jackson

Good work dude

@Anime, well, Pundil might buy a toupe, I mean, won't Pundil want to score with someone, being bald won't attracted men/woman, I know Pundil can't score, but Pundil doesn't know that

@Heckno, looks great, I just don't feel you modelled the hair considering it reminds me a lot of a hair model I've seen before, so if it is, please state, so you can either A- Change it or B- State that you didn't model it, if you did model it, just slap me

Use a freaking box modelling head tutorial
I got a PDF somewhere on how to box model heads in C4D, i'm sure you can easily translate that into your app, if I can find it, I'll let you know and I'll send it to both of ye, if you say send it

I see Sep is on a roll tonight.....

all I got is this wip hair from about three or so nights ago...

If there are any doubts about my model let me know, I can whip out hair in about 3 hours...

Edit: Was thinking about a short bob cut anyway....

Green and Insanity, which part do you want to know about, the whole process is pretty involved so if there is a particular part I can help with please feel free to let me know...

edit:

New hair style, this is about 20-25 mins of work...too tired to do anymore tonight...

yeah, hair has always been a difficult one to make look good. The new particle systems in blender go a long way to making it easier though.

@ Sep, thats because I used a blueprint to make the first hair model and just put my own flair to it... The new one is completely freehand (no blueprints)...

I just got Max 8 so I'm still learning the tools, I did try the hair/fur plugin but was afraid if I spent too much time learning it right now I would miss this comp...

Also, way too many polies in the realistic hair for DB to handle so I wanted to refine my skills for models that can be used in DB games first before mastering the hair plugin...

The other benefit of the meshes over the built-in hair is that they could be used as limbs during RPG character creation to customize character appearance, don't think I'm anywhere near ready to code something like realistic hair into DBP..

Here's my first attempt ever at making a human head. Not too great. I was aiming for low poly, and it was made in anim8or. (The hair sux)
