I think DBP is worth it. You have updates still, so unlike DBC, you will get (WAAAYYY) more commands. And sorry about the short topic change.

Wha? He always says he doesn't use Pro (even though he has it) because it's not as stable as Classic.

He didn`t "swiched"..

take a look at dbpro thread , and search for his posts

p.s. I`m thinking about rewriting shark basic to make a much more basic like syntax and also , i won`t make it as some multimedia program with 3d support , i think i`l make it as windows program creator (can acces windows gui easily) .

but STILL thinking and trying new options..

well , it will require A LOT of work untill v 1.0 is finished , and thank you very much for your help offering , i`l give you all the data`s as soon as i can ,

i`m now working on firstly to try to change the syntax to a normaler one like this : print hello!
or if i manage (hardly) , like this : print "hello!" - but the first one will do as well.

Also very bad stuff about v0.9 is that it`s restrited to ONE .bmp file to ONE music file , to ONE 3d object to ONE avi file at a time..

that will all be resolved by adding variables support to Shark Basic , so that you can make all sorts of calculations , and also you can choose the object number...and avi number..or whatever..

that multimedia thing , if it has to stay "multimedial" , then it will (i mean what sharky is currenly for) , but i`m giving my BEST effort and getting hedics.. trying to make it an operatable game creating language (3d and 2d offcourse)

unique you mean?

anything that would go in the help files I will make, index, a seperate page for every command, examples, tutorials, and only because sharkbasic is not very advanced yet. if it had a ton of commands making that stuff would be horrible

That was a bug with the old IDE, this is a screenshot of the NEW and IMPROVED Guppy Basic 0.2a!

Clearly you can see it wasn't made with notepad. It's a programming language made from Shark Basic which is made from DarkBASIC.

The point of Guppy Basic is the same. I WANTED TO MAKE A BASIC WITH SHARK BASIC, WHICH IS MADE IN DARKBASIC. I DON'T HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THAT! DO YOU? WHY AM I YELLING? I DON'T KNOW!

You are most certainly wrong. These allegations are false! Please refrain from suggesting that our Guppy Basic 0.2a ©1826BC-2006AD is merely a poorly edited notepad screenshot! The legalities behind these remarks will be dealt with swiftly by our army of lawyers that make MicroSoft's lawyers pee in their pants! Our army of lawyers is so large, that we had to buy a small island where we can train them to master their psychic powers. Here's a satelite map of the island if you don't believe me. This was taken by the Guppy 1 that currently orbits the earth and feeds image data back to our underground bunker.

You can clearly see the compile feature in our IDE. Just look at our new exclusive screenshot.

Again, your slanderous remarks directed towards our high-end application are grounds for swift and terrible legal action.

DID I NOT SAY THAT OUR LAWYERS HAVE PSYCHIC POWERS??? That was not a threat, it was a warning.

Here is a photo of a competitor that made false claims about Guppy Basic! The lawyers are using their psychic powers to mind throw the CEO of the nameless competitor into one of our many acid lagoons on Lawyer Island.

Don't mess with us, we'll mess you up!

*subclause: the output window reads outpoot, but that's due to a bug in Shark Basic. Our technicians are aware of the problem and currently working with Shark Basic to resove the issue. We thank you for your patience.*

I'm at work and it's dead...er...I mean...Programming the next stable version of Guppy Basic.

Guppy Basic Z GT (WHO edition)
Features include but are not limited to:
.Level 6 saiyan support
.16,000 energy
.Transdimensionally indented IDE
New Commands:
.SPIRIT BOMB
.KAMEHAMEHA
.KAIO-KEN
.EXTERMINATE
.SONIC SCREWDRIVER

It won't be free, but it will always and forever be cheaper than Ultimate Shark Basic. We're going to squeeze Dodica out of the industry... MicroSoft style!

Quote: "You are getting a little on the mean side, though."

Yeah, we'll fix the source for the screenshots to reflect Guppy's professional nature. We axed the department responsable, they were all taken to Lawyer Island and cast into the pit of Carkoon, the nesting place of the all-powerful Sarlacc. In his belly, they will find a new definition of pain and suffering, as they are slowly
digested over a thousand years. We can do this, because we bought Carkoon from George Lucas and transported it by ferry to Lawyer Island. Also, all our staff are under contract to have their employment terminated in this way.

I noticed it says "Contact Us" on your website... Now, the surprising thing isn't that it's spelled correctly, it's that there's more than just you working on Shark Basic. Is there really an US or is it just a YOU?

Dude, you're being really abusive. Stop it, it's just mean and discriminative.

Some of my best friends are invisible, and while they don't technically "exist" as such they've helped me through the hard times and I feel I must stick up for them.

Please, don't do that again.

We here at Guppy Software are actually Developing Guppy Basic. It's programmed in Shark Basic, which is programmed in DarkBASIC.

Serious!

ok , sence you have cleared out to us that you are making Guppy basic in Shark Basic...

I would actually PAY YOU TO SEE A WORKING SOURCE CODE OF YOUR BASIC IN SHARK BASIC THAT WORKS AND ACTUALLY COMPILES AS SHOWN IN YOUR PICTURES.(if you know Shark Basic commands , that is...-code must look EXACTLY as on pictures , but not just showing a picture , then actually all menys and buttons MUST WORK AND IT MUST COMPILE)

share that with us , share us the secret : How can you make something that`s inpossible to make ? - Shark Basic doesn`t support windows gui at all...

So , does our "little" joke ends here , please ?

We here at Guppy Software where able to ingeniously manipulate the powerful SLEEP command found in Shark Basic to access several Windows API features to create a fully functional GUI.

How we used the SLEEP command to do this is a trade secret. If we told you how, we'd have to find where you live and kill you.

Sincerely,
Tapewormz CEO and Chairman of Guppy Software

We're not flaming him, We're making a product using his product,... using DarkBASIC.

Guppy Software sincerely extends a hug to Dodic, but we're still going to sell Guppy Basic Z GT (WHO edition) cheaper than you sell Ultimate Shark Basic.

Afterall, without Shark Basic there could be no Guppy Basic and it's all powerful SLEEP command.
