I voted, and not for any of my own banners. (that would be wrong imho)

Good luck to all, this was a fun compo.

Cheers!

there was a waste of about 5 due to "shifts in hue banners" and a couple duplicates...

Don't think it deserves first spot, but still, I'm very proud lol .

I have to admit I'm amazed these two weren't entered in. I think they where by far my best chance. Ah well, there where alot of enteries.

I thought maybe they were both the same banner, like some poster for a dodgy US soap opera ....

''Codes and coders, Love and laughter...
Tears, and sunlight and function calls...
You will find out, Our codes, and coders...
Are what - you geeks - are all-about...''

Makes perfect sense Rich, when you think outside the box

I too haven't voted for my own. That would be waaaaay too cheeky
Is it just me or are there a few banners in there which don't appear in this thread? Perhaps I just missed them...

Good luck. It was a tough choice. I must have cycled through them all 5 or 6 times before deciding.

Medieval, roleplay, isolinear view. In keeping with the current fantasy fad that is going around gaming thanks to Oblivion and simularly themed games.

Anyway, makes more sense than green grass and a blue sky. :-p

Either way, I'm merely expressing supprise at your choices no critisiam intended, I like that your choices were unpredicatable.

P.S. Thanks for not submitting any of holywoods

I also voted but not for my own. At least I got two of mine in the shortlist, but my best ones were left out.

But it looked like a photo from a Scandinavian holiday brochure.

As for 'left out' banners.. I'm afraid that's the way the cookie crumbles.. I picked the short list (and dropped about the same amount as I selected) based on what looked good 'in place'. Which obviously doesn't always equal what the artist thought was their best. But I did warn you from the start that it was my overall taste that'd define the short list

Nice work anyway everyone, some quality entries in there.

Aw, no lego ones I imagine they must have looked a bit rubbish in place, or you're not a lego fan. Fair enough - I'm sure I can use something similar somewhere else.

Good luck to those who got through!

I'll take that as a compliment given that it was a CGI generated scene.

We have enough sensible banners already, I'm voting for the ones with a sense of humour (a la my claim to fame in the current banner selection ).

The only thing that dissapointed me with the short list are the three pallete shifts of the same banner, I like it, but don't think it warranted 3 spots.

I can't beleive santa claws isn't real! And I can't beleive no one told me until I was 26! I also can't beleive this isn't butter! The sky is blue? I can't beleive that either. I can't beleive the sounds my cat makes when throwing up a hairball. And I can't beleive anyone bothered to read this post.

Well, I gave David the first place, but the low-budget banner made me chuckle enough for a second place.

But who got my third vote? You shall never know.

It might be beneficial to keep your voting choices quiet for the time being. It can (and has previously) affected the way others vote. Some (whippersnappers mostly) either think:
'oooh, if I vote the same as them then they might be my friend and I can feel important on the forums',
or
'I am not voting the same way as that *@!*#'.

Either way it influences things.
