This is my new Banner About Future Network Game.

It is 459x60 in Dimensions
It is pure black
It is in JPEG format
It is no more than 24kb (20.764) in file size

Thank you very much.

@French Gui that is amazing!!! Did you draw the dragon, or did you get it off the net? It just seems so quick that you drew that, and it doesn't match your first attempt.

@Takis I doubt if an ad for you own game will pass.

Err, ok given the, ummm 'quality' of some of these entrants, I will personally select which banners are picked for the short-list.. THEN you can vote for them

Otherwise let's face it, there will be some crap in rotation for sure.

Cheers,

Rich

@French Gui: I have to agree with Pincho here, that looks amazing.

@Cattlerustler: That's not a bad idea actually, considering how well most of us forum-dwellers know the origin of those quotes I think it would be a good idea to have at least one banner with one of them in.

@Megaton Cat: No.

The shortlist is in rotation at the top right of your screen. I'd post the exact results but the script linked to externally uploaded files so 90% of them aren't displaying anymore.

Quote: "And IIRC, the voting page was driven by IP address last time so you could vote multiple times."

We weren't too fussy on how secure the voting was, but I'll tell you now that it was blatantly obvious when someone was voting multiple times and we probably caught most, if not all the fake votes.

I wonder if I should pull the old preview script out of retirement for this comp...

Had a change of heart, results from last time (turns out Rich saved them in order so I could relink them all with some minor editing):
http://exeat.phpnet.us/Apollo/Summary.php

To preview your banner, use the following formula:
http://exeat.phpnet.us/Apollo/Dummy.php?Img=*YOUR URL HERE*

Eg, my entry (example only, not a real entry):
http://forum.thegamecreators.com/g/banners/5.jpg
Preview:
http://exeat.phpnet.us/Apollo/Dummy.php?Img=http://forum.thegamecreators.com/g/banners/5.jpg

Enjoy.

(It looks much better in place than inline). The background is actually a small part of the human genome code!

here's something I came up with. this is a nice way to get creative juices flowing

What is happening to them[the children] is the only thing they've known. The whole system of values is turned upside down: a child is appreciated and loved if it earns money by stealing

Another quick one with the same theme as before (human genome in the background)...

Again, it looks much better in place than on its own.

Might try and do more if I get time over the next few days.
