I'm currently developing yet another game () called WarFact. It is set in the year 2009 and mercenaries are terrorizing the US population. This game takes place in Albany, New York. {First level undecided; check last post by me}

I'm using tinypic.com for my pics so they can all be easily viewed without clicking the view button multiple times. This post will be updated time to time when new screens are up. Enjoy!

Not a bad start...I don't know if people would like the merc idea though, considering what's going on with Blackwater USA etc...

But great start.

Well, this mercenary army is not Blackwater, it's more of a terrorism thing.

Well, the murders were all accidents, such as running an elevator when a worker was trying to fix a cord, and so on.

I guess. But there were only 3 or 4 murders, so that's why the short term.

Thanks. There's going to be a room leading into a security station/armory behind the player.

Yea, only four...

Police officer: Have you been speeding?
Criminal: No I only ran over four people.
Police officer: Ah then, well your facing up to 4 and a half months buddy, you're under arrest.

4 is a LOT, 1 is also A LOT.

No, it would be 25 years, which is max in Canada. We don't do life sentences.

Looks good, AI. Don't drop this. BTW, you have my support. If you already need some GFX, don't hesitate to look for me. I like this type of plot where you're trapped between two conflicts. Way to go, man!

Another thing, have you played Manhunt 2? Adding some elements from it to your game will give it a "some kind" of feel since you start from the prison.

I hope you actually finish this game this time. Screenies look pretty good, actually better than your Kola-project's screenies. The black spot on the floor in front of radiator in the first screenshot bothers me though. It can be fixed by changing the light dynamic I think.

Anyway: Good luck with this

No, but I've played Manhunt 1. Man, it sucks! I'm considering taking it to the local electronics exchange store when I get the chance.

Quote: "The black spot on the floor in front of radiator"

That's the paper's shadow, I don't know why it's so big.

Quote: "I love the truncheon. It suits this game too"

Me too. The truncheon is freakin' sweet! Wait till I get pints to buy the knives and such, that'd be awesome. Run up to a merc with a Pancor Jackhammer from MP5 and kniving his face to oblivion.

Yeah, I have this issue also. As I said before, it can be fixed by changing the nearby lights to dynamic.

If I do that, then my game would lag since I got around 6-10 lights in the area shown in the screens.

I've got an idea planned out for level 2: You're in a warehouse back alley which the mercs are swarming, and you have to kill them all. Then in the warehouse (level 3), the SWAT is trying to capture you and you must kill all of them. In fact, once I get enough points, there will be a few officers with M249s, which the player can pick up.

nice, maybe add clear but reconisble glass into them holes, just for fun and much better enviromental play, so that you can destroy it.

I agree.

I love how AI is the only idiot on the forums that can bend the rules.

Quote: "An environmental demo might be out later this week."

No you won't have a demo out. That is exactly what you said about Kola. Yet you never released anything. This is just another thread that should be locked but probably won't be because for some odd reason the mods don't want to lock threads you make.

It's getting old reading AI's stupid threads.

He's most likely to with all these people putting him down. AI, good luck on the game. I didn't really like the computer on the last picture. I suggest that you replace it with a normal computer or a laptop instead.

Hey guys, lay off AI.

Honestly.

If you don't like what you see, leave. You're holding AI to really high standards. Maybe making games is his hobby. Hobby. Don't expect him to finish anything.

To be honest, I haven't finished anything either. I just don't create threads about it. Maybe AI wants to show you what he did. Maybe he shouldn't create the thread. But I know one thing, and that is that you guys should back off.

It's annoying reading through his thread and wading my way through all your pointless posts and spam. Honestly, get a life. If you're getting that worked up about AI, you have issues.

There have been like 2 people that actually have finished something with this engine. But no one has done anything this stupid. It's annoying, aggravating and really pissing me off. I wouldn't have near as much of a problem with him if he didn't post that stupid thread to apologize for being an idiot (though I'd still be angry). He posted that thread knowing he wouldn't change.

Because of him the rules should change on the showcase board.

You know what. Screw it. Obviously AI is going to stay obnoxious so I'm just going to pass this thread even with the fact it will be spammed to the top every 30 seconds. Is there a way you can show/hide a thread?

Remember my old sig, Necrophobia 2? Supposed to be a thread, but I trashed out that idea. Look, I dumped more ideas than AI did, but I just admired how AI had the courage to create a new thread about a new game. Another, I just don't have the nerve to post an indefinite game, so I just help out the community by doing graphics.

EDIT: Team|ASP was supposed to a team doing FPSC games, but we're quite "broke up" and it's just a one-man job these days, that's why it's harder.

Wrong. He can ask a mod to change it to a specific name and then the mod will change it therefore he would be changing his name.

War torn city, with someone looking like Sam Fisher as frontage. Eastman was prisoner right? Maybe Double Agent-like cover perhaps.
