And how exactly do we "support" your model pack?

Anyway, im going to be honest. the model looks good, and the original texture looks good, but the zombie texture edits make it look unprofessional.

just clarifying, you DID make every model, image, AND texture in this pack right?

I agree with Bullshock. The texture is way out of proportion to the model itself. The face looks way off. The thing on its chest looks weird. So yeah, work on the texture please. But the model itself look great. I'd like to see more.

What do the Mods have to do with anything when it comes to this pack? They're here to moderate the forums.

~note~ Mods - I'm not trying to make it so you don't get it for free. I'm just curious.

That sounds like a bribe to me.
If someone were to say "If you test my game/application then I will give it to you for free" that is one thing since you don't have to be a mod and that is a pretty standard way of doing things.
But...
For someone to say "Also I would like to add that any mod or mods that help support A4'sMP1 will recieve it free of charge" that we can't do.
My reputation around here is important to me and to do what is essentially taking a bribe is not going to happen.
I do concur with the opinions of the others that have already posted here...work on the textures a little.
And make sure that when you do get ready to sell this that the license you have for the media you didn't make is clearly posted in this thread as per the rules.
Good luck in your efforts.

I don't know why, but I have an odd feeling about this.

The skeleton face looks like clackety - jack from FPSC.
It looks like you just googled some crap and pasted it on there with paint.

Nothin worth commercial.

-AaronG
plus, I am not going to buy, because I have no idea if you even made this. This could be all pirated. You said 10 characters...you only show 5. Or is it 5, and 2 textures for each?
(Ones that I can make in 5 mins of my own time using photoshop, not paint.)

lol AaronG you made me laugh, I use photoshop 3 man, with all the plugins, everything thing I use over 40 Grand in programs, Also I own every model pack ever made by TGC so check it out. so I have no reason to priate stuff or use pirated stuff I run A big business at www.a4productionz.com O yea I forgot I also paid Jonathan Fletcher $160.00 just for two models with the copyrights, I don't realy care for all your smart comments about our pack. and you don't have to buy it plenty other people will. and when you do they will reicve a download link, with serial number. So everybody else that realy want to help us promote this pack with recieve it free. P.S. save all your smart comments to yourself. Its realy not necessary. I hate when people try to work hard, and yet get shot down with people dumb remarks.

Nice businesslike attitude. He just gave you his opinion.
You aren't going to get a boatload of customers so I would suggest not alienating them.
I will give you the same advice I have given a few other people that were attempting to sell stuff.
Stuff the attitude. If you don't like what someone has to say as long as it is not offensive, etc. ignore it.
You can do what you want but if you make the forum members mad... there go your sales.
And you might check with others around here for advice on how to sell your stuff as well.
Before I buy anything (and I am thinking about buying this when/if you ever get it completed) I want to see everything that is in the pack.If you don't want to post the screenies here then post them on your site.
I have no issues with you at this point so please don't take it that way.
I am just trying to give you some good advice.

And you can use it in any programs that you want. The only thing is you can't resell any parts, or pirate it, just like any other pack. I hope this helps ya Jenkins Thankz for showing intrest in our pack. It people like you Jenkins thats makes me, and everybody else keep wanting to model and get better in modling So thankz again Jenkins and everybody else who supports us

I can easily get it into a different program. I just import it with Fragmotion. And export through MS3D because that exports lots of file types. MS3D exports to Unreal too.... which is what I'm moving to.

Looks pretty good so far, but i do agree the zombie variations look a little odd. you may want to try and blur or smudge the edges of the edited parts so they seem to blend better.

You obviously haven't been paying much attention to the forums since shooting down people's work seems to be what we do best. Given though that it is done so that the overall quality of the media up for either sale or free download is exceptional. And then you go and do something like contradict your previous statement with:

Quote: "Its all good we appreciate all feedback bad or good"

That is not very...how should I put it...smart...

Now on to what I personally think of the pack. I don't know what to say about the first pic other than it looks like you took a skin into paint and added some red stuff on it and pasted Clakety Jack's face on it. The second pic doesn't even look like they are models. They look like you took some pics of a model's body and photoshoped some heads on. Over all it doesn't make me at all excited for this one. I think I'll pass.

@A4 PrOdUcTiOnZ- I haven't been around in a while (like 6 months) so I haven't seen wether you have contributed some freebies or not to the forum, but that is an excelent way to drum up bussiness. Every now and then I make a model just for the sake of making it or the mood struck me for some odd reason, and then I release it free to the community. It gives a sample of your talents and if deemed good enough by the forum generates a want for more of your work. Infact I'm working on a freebie right now just because I have a pack coming out soon. Give the freebie method a try, its good for the forum and good bussiness.

Yo, just to clear up a few things.

A4 has for defo NOT pirated the meshes. He bought em off Jon a while back. They are A4 himself and his wife/partner/GF Lynn. He has full rights to sell them, and do what he wants with them.

Quote: "The skeleton face looks like clackety - jack from FPSC."

check out my attached image. that is definately NOT clackety. if you had taken the time to go and check you would realise it's nothing like. Probs not a great idea to accuse of piracy without propper evidence.

OK, so, defence lawyer work out of the way, A4, you need to be very careful once you start sellingthis stuff yeah? For example, you must take great care not to accidentally false adevertise:
Quote: "Its gonna contain 10 character models"

Not true. It will infact contain 2 character models, with 10 texture variations.

Also, I don't really think your texture work is at the quality of a commercial package. I'm not trying to be harsh or anything, I'm just being straight up honest. If you look at some of the FREE characters that have been given away recently by peeps like Rolfy, you will see that the standard of free stuff is way above that of this pack.

You can come back and slate me all you want, but I'm just offering my opinion, which is what these forums are all about. You can see by what I wrote at the top that I'm on your side, but here's my advise:

First up, the UV that Jon has done you is mirrored,so that arms and legs use the same texture on the left and right. Therefore if you add a little gash on the left, its there on the right too. THis tends to look a bit weak, and you may be better off adding an overall effect, or viens or something to get a less noticable mirror effect.

Second, facially all you male characters look the same. Dispite variations in damage to the male characters facial area (the one on the far right's face is probs the best bit of texture editing you've done), they all look the same. I can't honestly see anyone wanting more than two of these in a level at a time. When the facial detail is more generic, say, a skull it's ok, as all the faces could have rotted, but having an army of identical duva zombies just isn't going to be anyone's cup of tea.

I can see you have put alot of work into this, but I genuinely think you have missed a gap in the market. If you release a zombie pack you're competing with Bond1's model pack 4, which has beautiful textures and custom animations, and will basically blow you out of the water. Even if people have used MP4 to death and want more zombies, I think they'd be better off just retexturing bond's work, than buying your pack.

With a little more research you would have seen that there is currently a VERY high demand for a gangster pack. Something which you (of all people) should take to with flair. I think, scrap this. The zombies just dont compete with the quality of stuff already out there, instead take to retexturing the A4 mesh as various gangsters, and the Lynn Mesh as various hos (sorry lynn). Get a range of different ghetto dudes, and I guarantee you'll have a pack that sells better than this. Heck you could even included some of your tracks as beats etc.

Peace out
Butters

**edit. A4, nice to see you've dropped the typing in weird capitals thing... thought you did that because you had OCD, or are you all better now... oh and the image has TGC all over the skull texture because I didn't want to redistribute TGC material, but felt it was important to clear up the "has he stolen clackety jacks face?" thing

As long as we are making suggestions there are not enough common people characters...you know, ordinary people.
I am a zombie lover myself (I mean I love zombie models for use in my games, etc. not what you all are probably thinking).
However,a lot of forum members are burnt out on zombies.
I am also interested in seeing what you are doing with the text on screen stuff and the other media not associated with the models.
And there is a shortage of music/audio type media around here.
Just some suggestions.

Long time without seeing you, A4...

The screens look nice. Maybe these segments will be hard to use in games, because they have very specific themes.

As for the characters, some of the re-textures look a bit, well, strange, so I would say you need to work them a bit more.

You could make a segment with walls that look like book cases. But if this is horror it might not fit in. Looks nice.

Double Post
_____________
I took the liberty of editing the first screenshot.
All I did was smudge and blur the edges of her wounds, and notice how much more detailed it looks. It appears that the wounds are actually under the skin, instead of an overlay. You should greatly consider this effect of the Smudge and Blur tools. (Use Photoshop 3 which you claim to have to accomplish this effect.) DEFINETLY BUYING. FOR $5, THIS IS A STEAL.
