Hi Guys! I wanted to throw this out there to see if there would be any interest in a pack like this.

This is the STAR TREK TOS Starship kit.

It includes: the Bridge, Sickbay, Engineering, Transporter,Hanger Deck, Briefing Room, Crew Quarters, and a collection of hallway segments to create your own Federation Starships.

As well as some other neat Goodies like Phaser weapons, props, etc.

This is a little side project I've been playing around with, and am considering releasing as a fan pack.

Let me know what you think...

Note: These are just the base textures. No normals, or spec maps yet. Thanks!

I've been a fan from way back in the 60's. I'm just checking to see if there were some other fans in the community that would like something like this to play around with, to create they're own Star Trek adventures.

If this gets a fair amount of positive responses, I'll release it here. If not I'll just make it available via e-mail request, or something like that.

I have the full TNG series and I've now started collecting TOS. If you you need a beta tester I'm available, I also have a ton of Star Trek audio I was collecting for a (non-FPSC) game I was making if you need them.

Make me a Beverly Crusher please.

Heck just make the whole cast. Very very nice! A local station has been playing reruns of TNG every night at 11PM. I watch it every night before going to bed.

I always like the look of the TNG series as far as scifi goes. Some may say it cheesy, but it looks more believable and "human" than grungy metal walls like Alien/Doom/Dead Space.

This would be great, seeing as they would be simple enough to re-texture to our own game needs(so William Shatner doesn't come after us if we sell our games)

I see a lot of color contrast in your work, which is something a lot of people are afraid to use.

Thanks everyone. I guess it's a "GO" then. I'll continue work on this, then release the pack here for all us devoted "Trekers".

Looks like I'll have to dig up my "Next Generation" stuff as well, and update those models. I'm a little better at this now, and those were made when I was just starting out.

Thanks much everyone, I'm getting a list together for the upcoming year, and have some fun stuff planned for all you great forum dwellers here. So this helped out a lot.

Thanks Again!

Cosmic Prophet...

I saw your screenshots(Good Job BTW) and wonder: how did you get widescreen? It looks so proportionate. I have project blue, so if it's a PB only code, I can do that.

As a 'treker' I've got to say well done again.

I'm with S4real, some Borg related models would be great.

But I'd add my own vote for some deep space 9 stuff, or even some original series things, like the transporter room.

Great work BTW

Whoa! Just had a flashback to a time when I had the Mattel Star Trek Bridge play set, Mr. Spock's uniform (which I wore to school), and a wall-sized poster of Captain Kirk in the Captain's chair! Wow!

I tend to dislike packs that have not commercial potential, but...

THIS PACK IS AWESOME! AWESOME!

Beam me up CP!

I can see the first lvl now:

Fighting your way from the bridge to the transporter room because the ship is loosing life support due to a new advanced and very rabid species of Tribbles. Only to be followed by lvl 2

lvl 2: Kirk gets the girl, Spock gets confused, MaCoy makes a joke, and Scotty beams back up in an enviro suit to stop the evil tribble invasion and save the ship.

lol Sorry had to have a bit of fun with it, I love Star Trek.

LOL, Yeah, but that's the great part of it, Once you have the ship, your adventures are endless. You can beam down to all types of worlds, and meet all kinds of enemies, good, bad, or even funny.

Or use the ship itself for other storylines. You can be as creative as you want with your levels, and the possibilities are nearly endless.

To be honest I wouldn't use any of these in a game because they are so accurate to the original. I'm just not into fangames of any kind.

But the replications are indeed splendid and if I had to choose I'd go for the STNG bridge because I liked that better than the original ST (but I liked DS9 best)AND the NG bridge is a lot easier to move around on.

I personally wouldn't have any good use for these, ONLY because all my games are horror. But then again I might use a few of the things in this pack for various scenes here and there. All that aside, this looks awesome Cosmic Prophet! I'm sure it will go to great use for tons of people.

Cheers, Jake

Definitely TNG. A cleaner, more modern version, and yet still nostalgic enough for any fan. The video of the ship is amazing. Did you go there and check it out?

TOS???
The Old Series?

Yeah I love this idea.

Quote: "I love StarTrek AND FPSC, do you even have to ask?"

I'll 3rd that.

Quote: "so William Shatner doesn't come after us if we sell our games"

Just don't make the captain's neck as wide as his head, and he won't have a case. (just kidding)

Quote: "we need spock "

It's only logical, captain.

If I weren't so behind on my research, I would offer to help you Cosmic.
If you are still working on this when my report is done, then I will help out on any scripting/animating of some objects if you want.
